Solved the problem!
I have a door leading to our screened porch that always ends up open wide. The pets like to come in and out, and so does my wife. These hinges solved the problem. They are well made, install perfectly, and have lots of adjustment. Will soon be ordering another set for the basement door!

Works Great, Easy Install, Exact Hole-for-Hole Replacement
Bought this for 2 reasons, spring loaded closing and hole locations.Replaced hinges for door leading to garage when builder didn't include these. So glad this was available as a direct replacement (square on one side and rounded on the other as well as hole locations)! Unscrewed the old ones and installed these. Setting the spring tension was simple. The whole process took me about 15 minutes and now my door doesn't fly open out of reach and closes itself to a point where I can fully close with a simple pull.Note, I didn't cut the pins after setting the spring tension in case I want to change it later. They don't protrude too far and should be safe for most people. One is less than a foot above the floor and the second is well above eye level for most people.

Perfect!
Perfect! These were very easy to install when replacing a hinge. The only feedback I would give is to provide additional pins. It works exactly how it should and we are very happy with our purchase!

Tips on possible problems
So I got these and they were wrong for the door I intended them for. For one thing, per instructions, they would need to be installed with the adjustment capstan up and with rounded hinge corners and square hinge corners, and the way my door opens, they would need to go on upside down. So I found another door that pulled open right to left that they would work on.Here are the problems I encountered.Instructions say to use them as middle and bottom hinges. I removed my middle hinge first and the screw holes were going to be located alright. Easy peasy. The problem began with the tension hole and the tension pin. The internal holes that the pin was to go into were higher than the external hole on the outside of the hinge. It could not go thru the external hole and into the internal tension hole you had chosen by turning the adjustment capstan with the hex wrench - because the internal hole was too high and would not align. I tapped the internal part down a few times but it always rode up again when I used the hex wrench to adjust the spring torque to the proper hole. I finally used a small screw driver and hammer to tap down the internal spring tension rod (not hitting the hex hole) so that the external and internal holes would align and I inserted the tension pin. Onward to the bottom hinge.Remove old hinge; install new hinge. Close door.Use hex wrench to turn adjustment capstan to 3rd hole and insert tension pin, but no. This one had the internal part too far in and the internal holes were lower than the external holes. Opposite problem from the middle hinge. Eventually, I found a small pointed punch which I inserted thru the external hole and caught just enough of an internal hole to pry up the internal tension rod, align the holes and insert the pin.I was so proud.Unfortunately, the door would not close. Almost but it was too tight at the bottom and needed more physical power to push it closed.Eventually, I discovered that the diameter of my round part that held the two hinge pieces together was 7/16" and the new spring tension rod hinge was 11/16".That pushed the door out at the bottom enough to stop the door from closing smoothly. Now, I don't care enough to remove them because I can still close the door and it could be a good thing that I can't accidentally lock myself out by having the door completely close itself. With time, usage and perhaps a little tweaking, I may be able to adjust the door to close itself. So I'm keeping these and except for the small problem of aligning the internal holes with the external hole for the tension pin to pass thru, these are good quality hinges and I should have checked the size difference with the old hinges. The moral of the story is if you are talented at DIY projects and troubleshooting problems, you can do these yourself. Otherwise, be prepared to seek help.

Needed for the sale of a home
As I was getting ready to sell an older home and getting ready to have an inspection when I found out the garage door going into the home would have to have a spring load to be able to shut on it's own to prevent accidental gas leak into the home.We searched in stores and then a bunch on line to try and find ones that matched the holes but even after really thinking we got he same pattern, it didn't match perfectly but we made it work and since a couple holes lined up it was still sturdy. Tooth picks are a great filler for almost close holes. The size of the hinge did match though so there was that. We did use two hinges even though we probably could of got away with one but since we were doing it, might as well go all the way.Inspectors did not mention the door at all to the garage so it worked perfectly.

With kids is great
Military family so move a lot and is great with kids and dogs. If buy one that matches current hinges is easy plug and play. Now when kid comes in from garage no more door left open and dogs can come inside and no bugs rolling when door is open.
