The Fairhaven Micro Alti is a wrist or riser mounted altimeter packed with features, combined with a super sensitive vario with really loud audio. For paragliding, hang gliding and paramotor pilots. Only 37mm x 37mm (1.5 x 1.5 inches). The display has a similar character size to many of the largest varios and its high contrast custom LCD is easy to read even in bright sunlight, yet it only weighs 28 grams and measures just 37mm

Replace the Band!
The band is cheap and useless. I flew with it for about a half-hour before it came off. I was looking at it, then poof, it was gone. It seemed to work pretty well otherwise.

Five Stars
Works well for powered paragliding without spending too much!

Does what it says, but strap attachment is weak.
This does everything I expected it to and is a great little unit for what it does, if expensive for that (what it does). Delay in sensing altitude change is present but not overly problematic (for me). I'm mostly using it as an altimiter, but could imagine being annoyed with it if I was seeking thermals as there is a very noticable delay, but I'm not a free flight person so can't say how severe it is in that context. The reason I take a star off is that the wrist strap attaches through some thin/weak plastic strips that are easily broken. If any lines get caught on it, it's going to be easily ripped off the strap since it's only attached via two thin, weak plastic strips. I've already had one strip fail, and resorted to duct tape and glue to make sure it doesn't completely disconnect itself from the strap, and isn't cockeyed by 90 or more degrees since it's only attached at one side now. The unit itself and the strap are well enough built, but the interface between them is not robust at all. This may or may not matter to you for your own use case.
