I get in the shower and never want to come out!!!! It was worth the money I’d buy again and again and again

First off, I don't leave a lot of reviews (on any site). However, my steam shower was a "frill" on our 'long at last' Master Bath addition to our home of 20 years and we love it. I would do it over again in a heartbeat and I'm extremely satisfied with this 'all you need' and 'nothing you don't' steam generator. I purchased it for a few reasons. First, this is a great price point compared to competitors that have various add-ons and requirement purchases that would have been roughly 2x the cost and a budget buster. Second, I read about how their wiring and hookups haven't changed in years and years. (This means if something goes wrong with your controller/or unit, you can relatively easily swap out items to fix things if you run a chase for the wiring to the controller). Third, there is great customer service that turned around multiple emails and maybe even a phone call from me in my "planning" phase of the project when I was confirming the right unit to buy in order to power the steam for my steam-shower space. I didn't want to trade-off a strong steam experience because I chose to go for a lower priced option. Through the customer service relationship, I gained confidence and made the order. This is a rare review I make only to point out this purchase is a great way to bring luxury to your bathroom remodel and not pay top end showroom prices with add-ons and bells & whistles you don't need.

I did a bunch of research, called several Customer Services(CS) this one is the best. First, their CS is prompt, honest, not pushy, and helpful. Second with no Drain to instal, unlike MrSteam, your job installing makes it 1/2 easier.I installed mine in the vanity adjacent to shower. I had an electrician run a 220Amp line to the vanity. I soldered one 3/4 inch pike to a threaded coupler in my garage (coupler screws into steam generator). I lined up pipe, drilled a pilot hole in drywall thru into shower ( carbide). From shower, drilled a 1 inch hole (carbide) thru ceramic/ sheet rock. Inserted 3/4 inch pipe thru hole, then tefloned threaded couple to steam unit.For water, I got a Y coupler and a flexible stainless sink hose (turn house water Off!!!), reattached them, turned house water back on, checking for leaks. Screwed on chrome outlet vent in shower. For electric, I unscrewed the two cover plates (4 screws), found the 3 wires, 2 hot and one ground, attached my 220 wires with wire nuts. For the thermostat, PHONE JACK! Merely plug in phone jack in one of two spots, and run the wire where you want the thermostat (in shower or not). Turn water on. Flip the 220Amp breaker. Push ON button and you are steaming away. I got a 7.2 KW unit for a shower stall that is 4 feet by 3feet by 7 feet. I over built but Did so intentionally. I like it hot !! Works great.

I've had this machine installed for 1 year now. Wanted to wait a bit to write the review. So far, this machine performs excellently. The steam comes out very hot and powerfully. Takes about 10-15 minutes to reach maximum temperature of 125 degrees. This machines does exactly what I wanted it to do. Shower space is 50" x 32" x 8' tall. The machine could handle a bigger space if needed with ease. Control panel is simple and easy to use. Great product!

Doing the install was a total chore. Requirements are that it is installed indoors, but not in an attic. We didn't have space to install it indoor. We built a weather proof box on the other side of the shower (which has an exterior wall). We will see if this effects the longevity, but it is on a north facing wall, so the box doesn't get a lot of sun exposure.As to operation, after a month, we are more than happy with it. It takes about two minutes to get the steam going, but once it is going, it is absolutely glorious. Control works awesome to keep the proper temperature within the shower/steam area. Steam smell is great. There are no chemical smells whatsoever. I can't believe we waited so long to get this. I hope that it lasts!

We replaced an 11 year old unit from Steamist with this Elite unit. Works very well and we are happy with it. I used the new controller that came with it inside the shower. The only issue was that the old controller was larger. I siliconed a stainless steel plate with a large hole used for 240 electrical plugs over the hole and then put the new controller over that with silicone. It looks great as the controller was brushed nickel.BEST THING about Steamist is that the control cables have remained the same since we installed the first one 23 years ago. So you do not have to replace wiring in the wall. This is a great advantage over Mr Steam and others that have changed their wires over time. Unless you want to pull new wires I would stay with Steamist or Elite Steamist which is a little less expensive.

Fits original Steamiist location. Existing unit quit producing steam after 15 years. I figured it was more cost effective to get a new one Also new one has inside temperature control which is nice. Because the connections are not perfectly identical and the space was tight, it was a Bear to install,but well worth it I’ve used it a few times and kick myself for not getting it sooner

My unit arrived with a faulty cable. I sent an email and a replacement was with me 48hrs later. Everything is up and running now and we love our steam shower.

I’ve had the steam installed for a couple months and it’s been great. Knock on wood it keep running this well for a long time.
