Suh In Sook in time gave birth to two daughters named Ja Kyung andJa Rim. But his family longs for a son to be born to be heir to the baking business. The wife is told by a fortune teller that she will never have a son with her husband. So she seduces,her husbands Chief Secretary named Han Seung Jae and they conceive a son they will name Ma Joon. He is also her husbands best friend. Her husband sleeps with his true love Kim Mi Soon and she also gets pregnant with a son that will be named Kim Tak Goo. When his wife finds out that she is pregnant she gets sent away. Han Seung Jae was supposed to kill her but he let her go and told her to disappear and to never show up again with the baby. There are numerous attempts to get rid of them. One day her son goes to the bread factory and steals bread and gets caught by his father. This is how they meet. His mother Kim Mi Soon takes him to his father in hopes that he will protect his son. There he discovers the joy of baking bread with his father. But things don't go well there and he ends up running away from home and being sold to people on a boat. He manages to escape and meets his bread baking mentor Pal Bong twelve years later. He is looking for the man who took his mother with a tattoo on his arm that works there. He is only allowed there if he becomes an apprentice. He doesn't know that his brother Ma Joon is there under a different name. Kim Tak Goo is now in a loving relationship with his childhood love. He makes a bet with Ma Joon and has to give her up for about a year to focus on the baking test. During that period he is not even allowed to talk to her. Ma Joon then decides to persue her. His family treats her badly and she now wants vengeance , she leaves Kim Tak Goo and marry Ma Joon. He has blackmailing ability against his mother to make it happen. This drama is about way more than bread. Ou will be suprised at the twists and turns in this drama. And it really isn't over until the actual end of the final episode.I know that this drama is long and for me it is worth watching repeatedly. I believe the series is 30 episodes long. As I said I bought this for my favorite actor, is he the lead ? No. Joo Won plays Ma Joon, it is a chance to see him act as a more evil type role. His other dramas The Good Doctor, Young Pal, and The Bridal Mask show different to sides to him. And his movie Catch Me Steal My Heart is good also and shows his comedic side. But for me, the best parts of the series when the character Ma Joon goes after what he wants no matter what. I loved that it centers around baking. Good Holiday Movie.

Watching Korean Dramas is becoming a family tradition in my house! Bread Love and Dreams is a beautiful drama that shows the true meaning of forgiveness and teaches us that the love of a parent to child knows no end. If you loved K-Drama My Lovely Kim Sam Soon, then this is definitely the next one to check out! And make sure you watch it with a box of tissues next to you, I'm serious! My mother ended up in tears so many times while watching this drama and she NEVER cries while watching a movie, or her Spanish soap operas no matter how sad it is! But this was an exception for her, and she admit it. It is great to watch with the whole family!

Netflix introduced me this series and I feel in love with the story. The characters are a trip and most are utterly despicable. It is a wonderful show.

It is one of My Favorite Shows!!! It's definitely a Must-See; therefore, I highly recommend it. If you plan to watch it, you should prepare and brace yourself for the emotional roller coaster!!!

Great DVD series. Got it as a gift to my parents and they thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Seller shipped it promptly and had no problems with it.

I watch this drama out of curiosity on my streaming for Asian movies, this is so well acted and it keeps you on your toes, from the child actors to the time where they grow up this is a masterpiece that leaves you with an amazing feeling in your heart. This drama and reply 1998 have a special place in my heart . Don’t hesitate to get it .
