I always have a cracked screen, but when my last screen started getting glass shards in my finger I decided to pony up for a new screen. Having made a $300 investment for just replacing the screen, I decided I needed to protect it better. I gave had this case now for about 2 months and it exceeds my expectations!THE GOOD:1. Not only is the case metal, but it is screwed together. There is no worries that a fall (or child) will take it out of the case, it takes tools.2. In 2 months, there is not a scratch on my screen3. It makes the phone seem slightly larger, which I love. With a new screen and this case, I felt like I had just gotten a new phone.THE Not so Good (but not really bad):1. My glass screen protector cracked as soon as I put it in the case, but next time I won't crank down on the screws quite as much.2. The protective cover for the S pen is a hassle to put back in place. It took me over a week to get it properly back like it is supposed to be.3. You cannot use sideways chargers. I thought I'd try a new style charger and the added depth needed to clear the case did not allow, but it's not really a big deal to me.4. I have not figured out how to adhere a magnetic plate to the back to use in my car. Because of the rubbery material on the back nothing sticks to it.

This case is REALLY heavy and bulky. Yeah, it's aluminum so that is to be expected - not going to say this is an issue but be warned. My main issue with this case (and why it got 3/5) are below:1. The screws are so tiny they easily strip out. If it's dropped or over time I can see the screws falling out2. The corner cover piece for the 3.5mm jack makes the case not sit flush in one corner (really noticeable)3. The 3.5mm jack cover is only held on by a small screw my guess is the life of this will be short4. The S-Pen doesn't have a cover, or it is missing from my caseThe pros:1. It seems very sturdy, minus the tiny screws holding it together2. It offers a lot of protection3. I purchased red, it looks niceYou can't go wrong with this case if you want something that is tough. For me, it doesn't work.

Man, this thing is a TANK. BUT, it's heavy, the rubber is kind of funny feeling and if you want to put it face down the bastard will slide allover just about any surface cuz there's no rubber on the front. Took about a week for the paint to wear through. It doesn't come apart that easy and it really isn't any kind of spill proof. Do yourself a favor, buy an otter box.

If you need to protect your Note 8 while battling a world war....this is the case for you! However that's not what I was looking for. It literally doubled the thickness and weight of my phone. It also will not allow wireless charging. I returned it,

Very durrable, the rubber middle layer extends about 1/16" around the edges giving a pleasent tactile experience. It includes a small hole at the lower-left corner to attach a lanyard if you so choose. I have not had difficulty with signal loss, and it works great with the Qi wireless charging station 😎👍

Super disappointed with this buy. I had high hopes for it! The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because once it’s on my phone I almost always completely loose reception. Other than that everything else seems great! Super durable and protective while still being stylish! Really wish it would have worked out for me but unfortunately I’m having to return it. What’s good is a uncraxked phone screen if I don’t have reception to use it!??

I bought 5 already from this kind. Great on shock protection , if it has a glass screen it ll be awesome

I don't understand what the fingerprint reader rating is for, it's a phone case. This is the second of this kind of phone case I've purchased for my note 8. The first one last at least 3 years and my phone still looks new. Along with put a tempered glass screen protector on, it's an great combination. If you're looking for functionality, this it the case to go with.
