The Arbatel of Magick: The Magick of the Ancients Paperback – May 14, 2018

I was listening to the latest Hermetic Hour and this book was covered.So I do like having a physical copy and once again Styx has put together a book that is the least expensive.The book is short basically a list of Aphorisms to live a magical life while being a White magician.The book comes in the World about the same time as The Book of Oberon (definitely an excellent book) and is short on lists of Angelic powers with a few unfinished sigils.It follows the same idea that was lost to more modern Good/Evil paradigm,that a magician can both rule over and use Angels and Demons for his purpose if this is done with the Will and Consent of God and not the magicians ego.Also one must keep secret what is Secret but reveal what is to be revealed .Very close to ideas that existed up until the 20th century.

I really enjoyed this; it's kind of a cognitive spell to review to improve your life and govern your own choices toward a better self and world. Warwick is an extraordinary mind and a luminary against the dark age of censorship that forever threatens to encroach with permanence.

This book is excellent. This book is unique because it twines magick and God and philosophy.

I assumed this book would give magickal spells as well as knowledge about the sigils, it does go into details about who the sigils are used for however I have read it, it has christianity religious themes in its text which was surprising to me, but nonethless an interesting read

Still worth the price. Good quality

Deep work to read again and again. A very short encyclopedia of magick. If ones knows about rudimentary magick, its branches, astrology, classical works, it is an interesting work , edited from an old original. Makes you pause and think.

I was hoping for knowledge not religion its an ok book but not a great book. I would have bought a different book if I had known.
