Super X1-1200mm (48") Super Energy Efficient 35W BLDC Ceiling Fan With Remote Control - 5 Star Rated, White

I purchased 7 of these Superfans for my new house, primarily for the remote control feature. The fans look fairly simple, but do their job well. They are fairly silent at fast speeds and the remote control feature is very handy. The remote 'appears and feels' simple and poor quality, but in reality it is extremely rugged. And even after 3 years of extensive use, the fans and the remotes are working in good condition.During the lockdown, the motor of one of the fans stopped working, and I got in touch with their customer service, and they sent a new motor part via courier, along with instructions of how to replace it. And the fan is now as good as new. Fairly prompt and efficient service.I hope Superfan comes out with more stylish fans and well designed remotes in future, but other than that, I am fully satisfied with their current products and definitely recommend them.

I have been using this fan for the last 3-4 months. Now I am writing down a detailed review on it.Cons:The fan is pricy. Cost ~2.5 times that of typical ceiling fan.Also, the noise at slow speed (regulator at 1-2 setting) is slightly more than the typical fans at the same speed.Pros:It saves electricity.A typical (e.g., Orient, Usha) old (~20 yr) fan takes ~75 Watts at full speed (I checked 2 of them) [new ones 65 W]and at regulator setting of 2, it goes down to about 45 W.This fan takes 36 W at full speed, and it goes down to ~9 W at regulator setting of 2.I use fan most often at speed setting of 2. Therefore, if I replace an old fan with this, I can save ~35 W of power.With a typical price of Rs. 6/Unit of electricity and a typical use of 8 hours per day for 180 days in a year, it saves aboutRs. 300 an year. So, in a timescale of 10 years, one will recover its buying cost.On top of this, it has a few luxury features: (i) speed does not change with AC voltage fluctuation,and (ii) has a remote, so you need not get up from bed to change its speed at night.Moreover, if you use inverter during power cuts, fans are the ones that consumes high poweras compared to other basic needs (e.g., lights, which is low now with LED). Therefore, by using this fanwhich consumes power similar to an LED bulb at moderate speed,enables one to replace costly large batteries with smaller ones for the inverter.Therefore, assuming it will last as long as the typical fans from the well known companies survive (~25 yrs),it is a good buy.A comparison with the standard Power saver (50 W) fans:Standard power saving fans costs only ~Rs. 300 more than a typical 65 W fans (costs ~Rs. 1200).The power saving is ~10-15 W at moderate-high speed.Is that also a good buy ?Cost comparison shows that if you need to buy a new fan, and the usage is the same as above,you will recover the extra Rs. 300 spend in buying the power saver fan in just 3.5 years.Therefore, if you are in a budget, you could buy the typical power saver fans.The extra money (3100 for this one vs Rs. 1500 for a power saver) one would spendin buying this fan as compared to a power saver will take ~12 yrs to compensateby saving power.Ths fan will sell much more if the manufacturer can bring the cost down to within Rs. 2000-2500.

This is my second fan. First one is running smoothly since last 7yrs so I decided to go for another one.

It's a good fan. But the company service is terrible. I have 4 of these in my house. 2 remotes are working only. Bedroom fan is not working and company is not responding. Terrible... Don't buy this fan..

I bought this fan in 2017 to use at my Village for my mother. She has been using it till now. Even now it is working effeciently. Once we faced problem with the fan motor then I contacted Amazon and we have received the free motor from the manufacturer since it was under warranty.After almost 6 years of use, Remote is not working. Trying to get the new remote.

everyone must get one....i should have bought earlier....Its a nice effort from a start up company, they should expand their network though. Same air delivery at less than 35 watts.....saves electricity saves environment. I think everyone who pays for electricity will appreciate it. Lets hope more demand will bring down the price. planning to buy two more....Government should take notice of this product and subsidize it which will force the major players to innovate and bring out more energy efficient products.

4 star rating, fitted for 2 months. Now working fine. Speed OK. Air delivery not so high. Blades are also not thick properly. Let work for next 6 months or more. Actual performance then only be discussed.

Fast delivery. Good product. But plastic quality of cups/ conesto be attached at the top and bottom of the fan is abysmal. Their edges tore when I inserted them as required. Had to use insulation tape to make them stick to the stem used to hang the fan. Not taking it seriously only because the product itself is good and these are just things that would make the manufacturer better. Had received better plastic cones during my previous purchase. Proactive and competent service from the seller's end in resolving problem with respect to selling from TN to Kerala.
