Pepper Seeds Korean,(4grams-Each)

I used a ziplock bag method: soak 1/2 cut paper towel and place seeds on half of paper towel. Then fold paper towel over and place into ziplock bag. It took 2 weeks for all the seeds germinate. 100% germination rate! I never grew edible plants and had to do some research but they are growing well so far. The photo is after 2 months. If I had given fertilizer sooner, I think it may have grown faster. I will update if it fruits!

I ordered these in February 2014 and they came right on time. I bought these because I just moved back from Korea and was wanting a part of it to have back home. To jump start the seeds, I soaked them over night then planted them in trays on a seed heating mat the next day to help with germination. Every seed that I planted germinated and are the strongest looking plants I have growing this season. It is still too early for them to put out flowers and pods, but I am greatly looking forward to the peppers from these plants.

good seed, It is not much spicy in cool season such as early summer, and early fall. but, it will become spicy when grow in the hot temperature. Germinate ratio is 60-70%,

Germinated very well. After a long winter, I had to wait till end of May to move them to the ground which delayed the harvest time. However, it’s producing numerous peppers that we don’t know what to do with all these peppers! Very hood flavor, not spicy but not as big as the packet picture, but again, it was a late start. Will buy again.

I ordered three types of seeds, perilla leaves, Korean peppers, and cucumbers. Cucumbers sprouted a few shoots in just 3-5 days after planting, but the perilla leaves and Korean peppers haven't sprouted at all even after 10 days. It's really disappointing. I'm not sure if the seeds are old, but I contacted Amazon customer service today, and they said they would refund the price of the perilla leaves and Korean peppers that didn't sprout to my credit card. Very satisfied with their response.

I ordered these and they came right on time. Thankful for printout of instructions in english that came with the seeds since the packaging is in korean. Not all the seeds germinated but the ones but I didn't care because the ones that did and grew...grew a LOT of peppers. I am overrun with these peppers and have been giving them away since I can't keep up with them. They are delicious and I even eat them raw dipped in gochujang! I wish I could keep them growing all year long.

I do highly recommend this seeds all seeds are sprouting, it took 20 days in sprouted because of the cold weather even l had them on my kitchen window, but I am super happy that l gonna have my own plants of this Korean peppers.

Packet contains about 35 seeds. --- --- --- These seeds have been excellent for the last 7 years for me. Great productivity through the season. Great taste, especially fresh green ones and later when they turn red, too. Thanks, Dong Won Seed Co. --- --- --- I thought I'd answer a few other questions I've seen here. These peppers should be started inside in late February to early March for transplanting outside in late May to mid June. Soak overnight in a bowl of water. Spread on a wet paper towel inside a zip bag, and keep wet in a warm place (about 80-84F) with full spectrum light (extra on blue spectrum than standard grow lamps). They take 2 weeks to sprout under ideal conditions, otherwise longer. Carefully plant sprouts in potting soil with 5-10-10 fertilizer (extra phosphorus and potasium for strong roots and stems), and keep wet, warm and bright (full spectrum lights or a couple of grow lights). You might have to fertilize them a little more every week or two. After plants are about 6-8" tall, and outside low temps are steadily in 60s, put the plants outside during the day and let them "harden" (get used to cool temps) at night for a week or three. Don't expose them to 50 degree temps: Take them back inside. After hardening, transplant as follows: Prepare garden soil with organic content and a 5-10-10 fertilizer. (Consider something even stronger depending on your soil.) Take off the bottom 2-4 leaves and place the roots and part of the stem deep in the ground, so that there's about an inch between the ground and the lowest leaves. Don't break the stem. Otherwise they are pretty hardy. Water deeply, then let the soil dry out 4-7 days. This encourages the roots to go deep so the plants endure the hot part of summer well. Fertilize every week or two, especially if If they don't seem to grow well. When you have two or three levels of blossoms, pinch off a blossom out of each bunch to encourage ripening. When you have a few small fruits, pick o e off each bunch to encourage more growth in remaining fruits. I use wood chips to help keep moisture in the soil. When I follow these directions, I get massive amounts of flavorful mild peppers. I try to leave two or three alone on each plant to grow big and turn red - for gochu powder to use in gochujang. That's all my secrets, folks. I hope they work for you.
