100% worth it!
This works sooo well. Easy to use, catches all the hair before the drain and keeps it unclogged, and easy to clean.

Works perfectly, even for dog baths; great for menstrual cup users; best when cleaned frequently
TIME OWNED: 5 days at time of review [Updated below after 4 months, including in doggo baths!] OVERALL THOUGHTS: I've tried a ton of products to prevent lots of hair going down the tub drain because I shed so much. This one is very easy to install/remove for easy cleaning, without being big and obtrusive, and it catches a lot while hiding all that hair out of sight. I find it's best to clean it frequently and do clean mine almost every day, but it's a simple routine. This is my new favorite hair catching solution and I've stopped looking at others, for now. We'll see how it holds up. --- FULL REVIEW: Long story short, I shed a TON of my thin-but-numerous hair in the shower and it's an annoying and expensive problem, so I've been dedicated to trying products and finding a good solution for about 9 months now. Of course I can't tell if anything slips by this shroom but from what I see, it works very well to snag a ton of hair while still draining very well. The photo shows the amount of hair caught after I "pre-shed" my hair with a comb first and then took a shower (and the hair/shroom was left to dry overnight). It's also very easy to install and remove for cleaning, though I am worried about it getting moldy if left in place too long (as so many other products I've tried have done), so I have a routine I do daily to clear it out and hopefully help stave off mold as long as possible. But it's quite easy. MY CLEANING ROUTINE: 1. Turn on the water and shower/bathe as normal. 2. Before getting out of the tub to dry off, remove the shroom from the drain. Don't clean it yet!! Just leave it in the tub or put it on the edge, etc. 3. Leave it to dry overnight/until your next shower. 4. Before turning on the water for your next shower/bath, empty the DRY hair from the shroom out over the trash can. 5. Put the shroom back in place and you're back to Step 1. I find the hair (and the gunked up soap/shampoo/etc. that also inevitably gets caught) annoyingly sticks to your hand/the shroom when wet and everything drips when you move to the trash, so I just prefer to clean it when it's had a chance to dry, even if it's just a bit. You could leave the shroom in place to dry if you like! But like I said, I'm hoping pulling it out to dry faster will also help delay some of that moldy build-up as well. We'll see! MENSTRUAL CUP USERS: Because it's so easy to remove, I find it's great for when I need to empty my cup. It's just a quick added step! Clean the shroom (Step 4) but DON'T replace it just yet (Step 5). Instead, put it somewhere handy like on the edge of the tub or a shelf in the shower stall. Then turn on the water and get in the shower as normal, emptying your cup first thing. THEN replace the catcher (Step 5) and take your shower. This just makes it a bit easier than trying to fiddle with the shroom after you take your cup out and you have your hands full. ;) (And of course lets you more cleanly empty your cup directly into the drain with no obstructions.) CONS: None so far, but I'm keeping an eye on these and will be back to update if something goes amiss... - how durable it is over time (since cleaning it out frequently is best, I'm curious how long the silicone "feet" can handle the friction as it repeatedly rubs on the drain with removing/replacing it daily) - whether it starts to accumulate any mold (it's something lots of people here have mentioned but has also been my experience with every other product I've tried since, you know, water and gunk, so it's not unexpected... I just hope it's not too quickly) - how long I can go without cleaning it out (I've gotten used to cleaning these hair catchers out every day, so was doing that with this on autopilot to start. And it just seems best overall with the nature of these things. But I do want to experiment and see how long it could go before draining starts to clog.) --- Update 4 months later. Still works great and no issues. - Silicone is still in great shape with no tears or wear - No mold yet, though it has discolored but is probably not the item's fault (some of it is probably from rinsing hair dye in that shower, and the rest is probably Serratia Marcescens/iron... there's nothing to indicate any other changes that would be an issue) - With the amount of hair I lose in the shower, I can go about 3 days without clearing it before it affects drainage (I still prefer to clean it out daily but I experimented just to see heh) - I have a second one in the guest bathtub where the dog gets her monthly baths and it catches tons of her hair as well, which is considerably shorter than mine. Again, not sure if it does actually let anything slip by but it at least catches a good chunk that would otherwise go down the drain so I'm very happy with using it there also! --- Final update! So this did finally get moldy after about 7 months, though it might have been from neglect! We suddenly had to go away for 2 months and I forgot to remove it like I usually do after taking my shower right before we left. It was fine when we got back but then developed mold a couple weeks later, so I'm assuming the trip had something to do with it but can't be sure. Since I had to replace it, I decided to try their stainless steel version. It's been great for 4-ish months! But I do much prefer the overall design of this one, specifically the top. The stainless steel one has "claws" on the top that trap hair and make it very visible, whereas you never see it with this one. The stainless steel one also clogs much quicker! As I mentioned, I can do about 3 days with this one before it starts to drain slowly but the stainless steel one slows down drainage while I'm still in the shower the first day! Granted, I lose a lot of hair in the shower but still. When I eventually need to replace the stainless steel one, I'll be coming back to this one (and cleaning it out daily), even if that means replacing it every 8 months.

Perfect solution for hair clog prevention
Inexpensive solution to what could become a plumbing nightmare. Our kids shed like a village of hair with each shower. This catches it all and is easy to clean out. This prevents those costly clogs that a plumber has to come out for costing you hundreds or thousands. Fits our tub which is older perfectly. Installs with ease, literally just place it in drain.

Amazing design, but the mold…..
I bought this product about 6 months back and finally need to add my reveiw, as not many reviews on here mention the mold issue. I bought the silicone tub shroom in grey for both our upstairs and downstairs shower/tub combos. Upstairs tub is fiberglass, downstairs tub porcelain cast iron tub. The reviews were great and so I bought two at the same time. Yes, they are amazing at catching hair (three long haired gals in the house) buuuuuut the one thing that I don’t understand is the mold that seems to be permanent on the bottom of the shroom. I clean regularly and thoroughly. I don’t have the luxury of hiring a cleaning lady, and my bathrooms get a thorough clean every two weeks and picks ups in between. We are a household of 5 (2A and 3children) and the showers are used daily by myself and my husband and a couple more times a week by our children. The black mold on the bottom of these things is AWFUL. It won’t come off. Not with vinegar, not with bleach (I thought bleach got rid of most things!), not with scrubbing bubbles, Lysol, the pink stuff, nor the horrid mold and mildew cleaner I brought up from the basement as a last resort. It won’t scrub off, peel off, sand off, soak off. The design is incredibly efficient and the material (silicone) is probably part of its genius. But the mold is making me rethink keeping them. Mold is dangerous and unhealthy. My plan is to try the stainless (it was my first choice but there’s always the budget to keep me double guessing the more costly choice!) in a little bit and see if mold grows on those as well. My thoughts are it would be much easier to clean. Amazing at catching hair but the mold is horrendous. Im flabbergasted as to why others don’t also get this? Would love to be clued in!

Best haircatcher yet! It Works!!
I've tried a few that were worthless. This one catches hair without blocking the water from leaving and collects a ton of hair! Best investment yet!
