Great gaming laptop

Oh man… I really wanted this laptop to work. It’s really nice and did everything I wanted, but unfortunately, it’s a dud—just my luck. I was really starting to enjoy this laptop. 😞 It took me over a week to fully set it up and resolve all the driver issues, audio glitches, crackling, and desync problems. Everything was working great until tonight. I was just turning off YouTube for the night when I noticed pixelation on the screen. I thought I was imagining things, so I rebooted—and guess what? The same thing happened. I tried once more, and then a pop-up appeared, after which the laptop shut off and displayed this error: > “New CPU installed / fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or structure changed.” Nothing works, and I can’t boot in. I’m extremely disappointed.

The battery drains too fast, the trackpad isn't working correctly. less than five hours out of the box it keeps restarting by itself. All the updates were installed. Ram is always around 90% usage even with everything closed. I didn't even install the first game yet. Razer software is not optimised, eats 2 gigs of ram by itself. The reliability of this blade 14 is doubtful, I gave it the benefice of the doubt and it did let me down. Too bad because the keyboard is the best I ever used on a laptop, the screen is bright with beautiful colors and the chassis is very premium. But I think the cons overweight the pros by a lot.

I REALLY wanted to like this laptop as I own over 10 Razer devices all of which work wonderfully over the course of 20 years of brand loyalty. I made the plunge on a Blade laptop, and it’s completely defective with black screen video memory management crashes every time it has to process anything as basic as streaming a video. This is so unbelievably unacceptable for a high end gaming laptop that I paid a premium for. I thought there was no way a high end PC would have these types of issues, but after a month of back and forth with Razer support they refused to repair it for free even though it was under warranty and was defective from the start. They stated it wasn’t purchased from an authorized retailer which is simply not true as it was shipped and sold by Amazon.com not a 3rd party seller. After much investigation, the laptop fails to utilize the NVIDIA GPU at all which is why it crashes every time you try to watch videos or play games. I love Razer’s software, peripherals, and build quality, but this has some sort of software defect that isn’t allowing the laptop to use the NVIDIA card. The task manager shows the internal GPU at 100%, RAM usage at 90%, and NVIDIA card flatlined at 0% when attempting to stream a video. The keyboard, screen, and lighting are great but that means nothing when the computer literally can’t run anything. Shame on you Razer for poor quality control and poor customer service. Do better.
