Canoe Days

Peaceful, beautifully illustrated book. The words themselves capture the imagination. This is one of my 4y.o. Grandson's favorite books. My 9y.o. granddaughter thoroughly enjoys as well. It paints a captivating picture of nature and pulls you right into the canoe with the man.

Great book for similes and metaphors. Has a good flow as well.Having students hold up cards to I'D each silently as I read to check comprehension.

This is a wonderful book to accent taking a small moment and sharing the special details of this event.Great illustrations and word choice enhance the story.

LOVE GARY PAULSEN AND HIS WIFE'S ILLUSTRATIONS!!

Good for 1 ages 1 to 7. Takes you on a slow, quiet paddle around the lake to "see what you can see". Love it for when canoe season is over - takes us right back to the wonder & beauty of being on the lake.If you canoe trip & have kids, I also highly HIGHLY recommend "an Algonquin heart song paddle my own canoe" by amber J. Keyser & illustrated by Dawn Sherman. Will warm your heart - beautiful.
