I'm so glad that I bought this dash cam! Now it's not available anymore! For $40 it's a STEAL!!! I've a 2016 Kia Sorrento SUV, and I installed the whole thing by myself in one afternoon. I managed to hide 90% of the wires, and those exposed sections aren't easily seen! If I can do it, anyone can do it! Just make sure to use that little blue handy tool, which helps to ply open the plastic covers inside the car for wiring, to push the wires in between the plastic covers and soft sided materials along the interior of the car. I didn't have to take off any plastic interior covers! There are plenty of extra cables for both the rear view mirror and the power cord itself. Since my SUV has a back-up camera already, I didn't have to hook up the small rear camera. I just taped it onto my rear windshield and do the recording. I snapped off the red wire on it.If you don't usually commute longer than an hour, then charge the dash cam with the USB cable provided first. Probably overnight is the best, so the battery is fully charged before installation. Those plug ins for power and rear camera are on the top of the mirror and it's tough to get them on and off after being mounted! As some other reviews said, if you want the Parking Monitor to work, the battery has be fully charged. Parking Monitor function works well and you can set the sensitivity for it to turn on. I've it on medium and it pretty sensitive! Just by closing the doors a bit harder, it turns on!During daytime, the front camera video is 1080 dpi. Night mode is 720 dpi front, VGA on the back. It's very tough to see at night, unless there is light source! During daytime, if the sun is shining right into the rear camera, it's just reflects! When the car behind you is close enough, you can still see their license plate.The videos are in pairs, front view first, then the back one. You can adjust the length of the recordings. The videos will override the old ones when the SD card is full. You can always clear all the files at the end of the day. Mic can be turned on and off, your choice. The mirror has a blue tint on it and it's great for me since where I'm have plenty of sunshine year round! It helps with the glaring!The length of the mirror is longer than those convex mirror (Wide-view mirror) which I had on before. But it's not convex. Things don't appear smaller. My original rear view mirror is pretty thick, and those rubber bands just managed to wrap themselves around it!After I installed the dash cam, the rear camera is pretty obvious on my rear windshield and I can tell other drivers are keeping their distance from my bumper...>:) That's a good thing, don't you think? Keeping a safe distance, everyone is safe! =)I'm very happy with this purchase!

Don't waist your $$$$$ the DuDubell mirror 4.3 dash cam is junk. Stopped working after 4 hours and never worked again. My son purchased 1 a week earlier but never installed it so we pulled it out of the box and it to did not work either. 2 units that were junk. 1 worked 4 hours then stopped the other one did not work out of the box.I returned my unit for a refund my son had Amazon send our 3 replacment units one after the other all with different problems. Either the back up camera did not work, the unit would shut off or go into sleep mode and never turn on after that or the unit did not work out of the box. No matter what we did they did not work. In the end don't waist your time and money on cheap junk. Yes the price is good but the item is junk that will fail you some where down the line.

This product is awesome, I have had it now for like 2 or 3 months and it's amazing. It has crystal clear picture and has held up to extreme hot and cold Temperatures in my car flawlessly, it pretty much has to stay plugged in all the time because the battery doesn't keep a charge without being continually plugged in but why would u need to unplug it? If you go on YouTube there are videos that will show u how to tuck the wires into ur interior so u can't even tell it's there. Video playback can be viewed straight on the camera. It keeps every video stored and then just records over itself when the memory card gets full so u don't have to go through and delete anything each time it fills up. If u need to keep a video u can plug it into a computer and save it and it comes with everything u need to do all that....backup camera is included and as far as I can tell is waterproof!! One last thing is my mirror shakes a lot while driving so I thought this camera wouldn't work, but I was wrong. Even at extreme shakiness it still has crystal clear quality on playback, it has some kind of motion stabilizer in the camera that keeps the video quality clear and most all the features are touch screen.

Camera turns off when car engine is off. User-friendly. The quality is good; you can clearly read a license plate that is about 6 feet away from the camera lens (so the car plate in front is 1-2 feet away from your own plate). However, after installation, everything was functioning as described. Everything BUT the rear camera. So we contacted support via email and they immediately responded! They were quick to send me a replacement free of charge. The only reason for not full 5 stars is because the rear camera was not working, but that was balanced out by the speed of customer service.

The backup camera stopped a long time ago, but at least it still films the front. It provides me a decent peace of mind knowing that I'd have some footage if someone caused an accident. The footage is not great quality but it's good enough to show generally what happened on the road and whether the driver was following rules of the road. It has pretty decent peripheral view and is able to film anything you can see out the front window. The rear camera view was great and very helpful when it worked, but again, it doesn't anymore. The wires can be a pain sometimes. They run from the mirror over your visors and then down the length of the car through the rubber. My car has a hatchback, so the wires kind of hang a bit at the back of the car and that may be why the rear camera stopped working. I like to have a car charger for my phone plugged in, and the camera takes up that spot. It doesn't really hold a charge at all, so once you unplug it you have about a minute before it cuts off.Overall, it was a worthwhile purchase because it does still consistently film decent footage out the front. It's a middle-of-the-road compromise between the extremely expensive version and the total crap options.
