Won't be buying again.
First time buying something like this and I wouldn't buy again. Tried it and it just left streaks and blue pasty stuff.

a tough subject!
nobody realistically expects any paste or pen to have an instant effect but what is useful is that if you have had new surface veneers it really has an effect keeping the flat surfaces clean

Easy to apply and fairly pleasant tasting.
This was very easy to apply and didn't taste too bad at all. I did notice a difference in the whiteness of my teeth, but to be honest, I was expecting better results.

I was amazed by this product!
I really was shocked that this product works! Just shake up and down about 30 times and then apply in straight down brush strokes to your teeth. NO BLEACH - in fact the whitening is an optical illusion caused by whitening crystals that bend the light. After application there is an obvious difference that is really good - it just gives your smile the edge. I was very dubious about this so before I tried it I talked to my dental hygienist and she hadn't heard of the product at that time (because it hadn't officially been launched) but she read up on it and assured me that it was safe to use and that I would probably see a difference. The mouth has to put up with so many terible stains - tea, coffee, red wine etc, that anything like this that does give you an edge in a hurry and makes your teeth appear to be whiter than they are is really cool! There is no aftertaste, but your teeth look whiter.I cannot fault this product - it will never make up for having your teeth whitened, but it will act as a great stop gap. You can't go wrong for this low price - give it a go!

So subtle, you won't tell the difference
I know that painting Tipp-Ex on your teeth is an extreme approach to improving their whiteness and a more subtle approach to preferable. Whitening toothpastes take time to work and I can understand the desire to add a little sparkle in the short term, but on the basis of my usage, this has no noticeable effect on either whiteness or shine.

Pros and cons
As somebody with a smile they’re embarrassed about- a combination of dental problems at a young age and years of too much tea- who has neither the money nor the vanity for an expensive medical solution, I was hoping this would be the ideal solution for me. In principle it sounds great, ideal for those special occasions like weddings or job interviews or nights out when you just want to feel a bit more confident about opening your mouth. And it works- a bit. The easy-to-follow instructions recommend a fairly modest application, just a couple of strokes per tooth, and if you do that, the difference is certainly marginal, just a very slight shade brighter under the right light. If you’re willing to ignore the instructions and double the application, there is a distinct and visible difference between the teeth you’ve applied it to and the teeth you haven’t. It’s not a miracle cure- it doesn’t turn browned teeth into white teeth- but it does give a little bit of a lift. It comes off easily during a normal brushing session. But there are down sides. Personally I found it really quite difficult to apply- I got far better results if I asked my partner to do it for me. Anything less than a perfect application can look a little bit off, to put it mildly, which is what some of the other reviewers have been put off by. It takes a bit of practice before you can get results that make your teeth look brighter and healthier, rather than oddly varnished. It can also leave strange white straggly bits loose in your mouth, which can feel a bit, well, icky. If you rub your tongue along the applied areas it feels rough, like an unvarnished filling (maybe something to bear in mind if you’re planning any intimate kissing). It also smells pretty horrible, an alcohol-based applicator with an aroma that- I can’t think of a pleasanter way of putting this- is just a little bit too much like spermicide for my liking.I’m going to continue using this stick, but only for special occasions like job interviews where I want to feel just marginally more confident and presentable, because I do think it helps- perhaps more psychologically than physically, but it still helps. But it’s not all that pleasant to use and it’s not something I’m going to make a habit of.
