Everything you need to start soldering
I bought this to solder some small through hole components onto a pcb, and my large iron would have destroyed it. First impressions were that the iron itself was a little cheap and fragile, but there was everything you'd need in the kit, so good for a hobbyist, there's also some good tips for soldering if you've never done it before. When I used it, I was really impressed! the heat control is pretty accurate, and the tips are easy to change. I used it on my fiddly little job, then put the large tip on and whacked the heat up, and soldered directly onto some steel plate.Overall, a very usable soldering iron, with useful items in the kit. Not as solid as a weller, but at this price, perfect for a hobbyist and occasional user.

Temperature dial fiddly and easy to knock
In principle, the adjustable temperature is great. However, for most soldering applications (as a hobbyist), it's either too cold to do anything effectively, or so hot that the tip just vaporises solder, so really there is only one temperature that you consistently want to use. However the location of the temp control means it's quite easy to knock and the stand is not much use. If I was soldering day in, day out, I would probably buy a proper solder station or something a bit more sturdy like an Antex iron with a decent stand. The in-line power switch is handy though. It has a variety of tips, a desolder pump as well as braid, a cheap looking wire stripper and a tube of solder, so there is enough here to get a beginner starter. Is it easy to use? Yes, provided you know how to use it.

I've not soldered anything in nearly 20 years, job completed which saved me over £100
I bought this to repair my Beyerdynamic headphones and it done the job perfectly. I was just replacing the headphone cable but it saved me £100+ as otherwise I'd have had to replace the headphones. I've not done any soldering for around 20 years and this was very easy to use, came with a lot of bits and bobs and all for a very cheap price. Highly recommend for small jobs but I'm no expert user and don't know how it would fair for other uses. For me, perfect and would happily buy again if required.

Decent Starter Kit With Some Limitations
For hobbyists and beginners dipping their toes into soldering, this Tabiger kit offers reasonable value, though it comes with some notable compromises. The adjustable temperature control (200-450°C) is a welcome feature at this price point, and the iron heats up relatively quickly. The included accessories are comprehensive enough to get started – various tips, solder wire, desoldering pump, and stand are all serviceable. Build quality is acceptable, though not exceptional. The stand feels a bit lightweight and could be more stable.Where this kit falls short is in temperature consistency and tip quality. The temperature can fluctuate more than ideal for precise work, and the tips wear faster than premium alternatives. I've found myself having to adjust the temperature more frequently than I'd like during longer sessions. It's worth noting that while the iron works fine for basic electronics repairs and hobby projects, it might frustrate more experienced users. The handle gets warm during extended use, and the cord could be longer for better workspace flexibility. For occasional use and learning purposes, this kit does the job. Just don't expect professional-grade performance or longevity. Consider it a stepping stone before investing in higher-end equipment if you find yourself soldering regularly.

Basic all you need kit
Comes in a nice case. Heat control isn't really needed to be honest. Feels durable. Price is good for what you get.

Powerful and even better than I thought it would be
Over the years I've had a couple of cheap irons mainly just for tinning wires and the odd repair. They were never very satisfactory though and likely I wasn't using them correctly maybe they were meant for fine circuitry work or whatever. Having loaned my last one out and never really wanting it back I found I needed another recently fortunately I came across this kit.The main thing I found is the speed and power of the heat it generates. I'm no expert with electronics and others will know what I mean and no doubt communicate it much better. Basically I found this iron easy to solder with and it made the simple repairs I wanted to effect much less traumatic to me and anyone nearby.Other things. The on/off switch in the lead is great - simple I know but I found very useful. I’m not sure I need some of the extras but the zip case is handy and perhaps I’ll use the tips etc. in due course. The solder supplied is lead-free - lead solder is best avoided if you don’t have an extractor system. The kit stand is flimsy so I knocked up a more sturdy one from some bits of angle metal I had in the garage. I watched a couple of youtube videos for hints and, using this iron, I’m much happier with my work.
