Pl8 Pl8-4500 Canning Set

This is a great set. I owned a cheaper funnel and jar lifter before this and these really make canning easier. The funnel cleans up well and has a headspace measure built-on. The spring-loaded tongs make jar handling smoother because you don't have to manually open and close the handles. The lid lifter is basic, but I didn't have one before, so I love it, too!

Thought this product was stainless. Has rust spots on it

Seems to be a good all-inclusive starter set for canning. Purchased this as a gift for my daughter and her family and she has used it numerous times. The only problem so far is the magnetic lid pick-up tool and the magnet falling out. Probably nothing a dab of cyanoacrylate glue won't fix.

As I stated when you order a kit and you see the picture with jars clearly in the picture you assume it comes with it. My advice is to avoid this company.IMO

I love this set! Very nicely made items! It was recommended to me by a friend. I really like the lid tool design so you can pick up and remove the lids with one hand. Saves time when you can a lot like I do! I have also purchased other products in the Pl8 set and plan to buy more.
