even spec for acer sp315-51 is 12gb max, I installed it and now my ram is 20gb

Installation was a snap -- literally. I upgraded my Acer laptop from 8GB to 20GB with this memory module. Initial boot-up after first installing the memory took a long time (maybe 5 minutes), but Windows 10 and my computer recognized the memory right away. My computer is very stable. No issues. I would recommend this memory.

I have an Acer Predator 17 (G9-791-79Y3), and this worked perfectly. I installed myself using a YouTube video as a guide, and it worked on the first try. My laptop recognized it with no problem. I had 32GB already installed, and these modules went into the easy-to-access extra slots.

The memory took two and one half weeks to arrive which was late. The memory did not function, they sent me broken memory. I tried it as a second stick in my 14" HP laptop to make dual channel memory. Purchased 16 gig 2133 stick to add in the empty second slot. The first slot has 16 gig 2133 so they should be matched pair. Then computer sounded alarms and would not post. Took the new stick out and computer resumed operating. took out original 1st stick and put new stick alone in its place. Same alarms ande no post. Restored original stick restored computer. I have an extra removed from mini computer 8 gig 2133 stick, I put it in the second slot and the computer posted with 24 gigs of memory so that 16 dual channel and 8 single channel. So the new 16 gig stick is definitely bad.
