Typical Excalibur quality (outstanding)!Not much of a review....haven't used these for hunting.The cutting edges and point, of these heads, are keenly sharp.The blades fold forward and detent pressure holds them into the aerodynamic flight position, retaining accuracy. Loss of accuracy can be a problem with standard broadheads.The forward tips, of the folded blades, are blunt on the exposed forward facing edge.On impact, this blunt area resists penetration for a micro-second, instantly deploying the blades causing a large wound channel.The quality, of these heads, is really good and they are built with very good materials.Will be getting more of these. Expensive, but seems worth it.

just what i was looking for

I think the broadheads are just fine, and they'll work good. Except, that two of the three of them were missing the required stop collars. Did someone previously return these and keep what they needed? Not sure. I hate to say it, but I'll order another set to see if all the required pieces are included this time.

Good product

I hesitated to purchase a mechanical broadhead because of reviewers on other sites who complained about them not opening. Only took one deer with the X-Act but in that case it performed perfectly. Double lung shot pass thru from 30 yards and the deer dropped in 80 yards. Gaping entrance and exit wounds with easy to follow bloodtrail. When I found the arrow all the blades were open. The blade edges are beat up a bit and will have to be sharpened for reuse but I'm not sure if it was from passing thru the rib bones or the impact with the frozen ground. Not having a broadhead target I didn't practice with these tips and I was unsure if they would have the same flight characteristics as the 150gr field tips. What I found is that they were spot on with the field tips.

Blades never deployed upon impact. Luckily the shot was perfect and didn't matter but very disappointed

Use with my Excalibur crossbow. In the last couple of season I harvested 14 whitetails that ran less than 100 yards. The broadheads opened every time . They have never opened prematurely @ 405 fps. Worth every penny.

I’ve taken two deer this season, one at 20 yards and one at 50 with a 22” bolt and my crossbow at 375 FPS. On both the bolt passed all the way through leaving large blood trails. Neither deer made it 50 yards. I already ordered another set.
