"bare tool" they literally sent a bubble wrapped tool
Drill worked great. Powered through MDF while using it all weekend long. Only con so far is it would have been nice on the paddle switch that the upper part would be forward and the bottom part reverse. I know what Milwaukee was going for, multiple hand positions, but it feels almost natural to want to reverse and with just the paddle. Also the reverse and forward switch isn't easy to get to with one hand.Lastly, probably biggest con, was with the seller. This is "bare tool only", which I totally understood. But when they say "bare tool" they literally sent a bubble wrapped tool, no box or anything except for the paper instruction manual. I've bought bare tools before and they at least came in a factory box. I don't think there is any foul play here, but seriously, I think the bare tools should have came in a cardboard Milwaukee branded box. Hope I didn't get a refurbished or something.

Should have bought it long ago (Make sure to order with a few other items in your cart)
I don't know why I didn't buy this long ago. Hell of a tool, paired up with an HD M18 battery, I managed to buff (wax) my entire sedan, and the battery never registered a single notch below full on the indicator! Although that simply reviews the battery itself (sold separately), the tool itself feels solid, well built, the trigger is surprisingly controllable in terms of how much you can squeeze it to moderate torque, and it has the wheel dial to choose what kind of torque cutoff point you need for certain situations anyway. The light is a powerful LED, and even with a huge battery pack it's not excessively heavy. I will agree with the others though, this thing does not even come inside it's original box from this seller, so I highly recommend ordering this item with a few other things in your order so the Amazon center can pack this along with your other items in a box. If you order this alone, it will simply come wrapped in plastic

Good tool for small jobs when you need to get into small places. Not designed for high torque.
As other reviews have stated, this is not for heavy duty work, but for its stated purpose, I have found it quite useful. I bought this because I have a regular Milwaukee cordless drill and multiple batteries, so I can use the same batteries. Some reviewers complained about low torque. I suspect this is because they don't know about the electronic torque adjustment on this tool, which I find has minimal utility compared to a mechanical torque clutch, but I can see why they chose this method to save space. I can also see how people would be disappointed that it cannot handle large hole saws, but it is clearly not designed for this level of torque, and Milwaukee makes bigger machines for this purpose. I use it along with stubby drill bits when I need to get into tight spaces, and occasionally as a second machine when I need to drill pilot holes or the like.

Works well once I read the instructions!
Initially I thought I had a bad drill because it wouldn't drill a 5/16" hole through softwood or drive a 1-1/2" #8 screw into softwood without stalling. I had completely overlooked the torque-limit setting because it is not located by the chuck as on most drill-drivers. And, since the torque-limiter on this drill is electronic the drill just stops when it reaches its limit and you don't get the buzzing sound you get from a friction clutch. Once I cranked up the torque setting, it has done everything I've asked of it.

Milwaukee 2615-20 M18 side drill
I use many of the Milwaukee M18 tools, they are powerful, good battery time/life with good balance. When purchase this tool I was debating between the 12V and the 18V, the 12V version look slim, smaller, but to use 2 types of batteries is a hassle.I purchase the M18 tool. it works fine, but it is too big, and with the battery it will not fit into small places (and it was bought in order to be used in places that regular drill does not fit).another annoying feature is to pass between normal and reverse mode. the button is small and not contactable.

Arrives in a plain box, not a MFG box - But it is a new drill
Well first I read some reviews which state the drill hasn't any torque. Well that couldn't be further from the truth. There is a dial on the drill to adjust the setting - put it to drill and this will go through what it is meant to. It eats up rafters (pine) quickly and with ease. Hard Wood is the same. It also goes through metal - you need to drill metal at slower drill speeds anyway so again it is just fine. It is light and easily manageable in tight spaces. The ONLY CON is it does not come in a manufacturer box - leading one to wonder is it new or not. So I called Milwaukee and if it were a manufactured item it would be noted on the drill which this was not.

Very Good Drill
Overall, I like this drill - my thoughts:Pros:Good power with the MK18 volt batteries and the lithium-ion lasts forever on a charge.I used a high-quality self-feed bit and powered thru 2x10 ceiling joists in a few seconds.Milwaukee improved the LED light design so that it stays on for a few seconds after you let go of the trigger. The early MK18 tools had their light go out immediately upon release of the trigger (annoying!).Cons:The chuck design can pinch your skin when you tighten/loosen bits (between the chuck and the housing by the light).Trigger is very sensitive though you can lock it out by locating the forward/reverse button halfway.Overall, the cons are very minor - good tool - Milwaukee rarely makes a bad product (even though they are located in Packer-land!).

Low torque, horrible dissapointment
I bought this as part of replacing all of my dewalt tools with Milwaukee tools.I used the Milwaukee 18v 5amp battery on it.First time I went to use it in a tight space in an attic to drill through a couple of 2x6's it did fail miserably. I was using a one inch paddle drill. the bit would turn, but as soon as I put some pressure on the bit, it would stop. I crawled out of the attic and checked the battery and it was fully charged, so I knew it wasn't the battery. I grabbed the chuck and I could keep the chuck from turning without even trying hard. You talk about disappointment and this happening in a middle of a job was really bad news. I sold my Dewalt 90 degree because I thought the torque was low, but this unit I received makes it look like a power horse. I'm going to return this item and communicate my dissatisfaction with this item

Very good drill. I have several one
Very good drill. I have several one, including full size drill from the Fuel series - so I didn't need the battery as the other drill came already with two. This one is very light but still has lots of power. My primary use for it is for using it in tight spaces, but it is so good I'm using it for all kinds of drilling needs as my other drill sits in the case and this one is case-less so hangs convieniently on the wall I can grab it quickly anytime. With battery attached at the bottom, it has a nicely distributed weight. The built-in light is one of the best features as well as it will eliminate need for guessing or bringing extra light.

which is the whole drill's body is too wide to comfortably and controllably hold the drill
Handle, which is the whole drill's body is too wide to comfortably and controllably hold the drill. The speed start is way too quick and with connection with the above the jump start makes it difficult to use.I would expect that Milwaukee would manufacture a product features similar to regular cordless drills. These are perfect. That’s why I went for angle drill from Milwaukee. If it was a store purchase and convenient to return it, I would do it right away.
