Working in covid icu 3-4 days a week (36-48 hours), i would like to know how frequent the filters are to be changed?

Mickey, Thanks for your question. Please read the full reply as there is important information throughout. If only considering breathing quality, a weekly change out would normally be fine. This is because filters over time "load" up with particulates (not just Covid, but anything) which in turn generates back pressure that causes breathing to feel labored. This process can take days (or even weeks) depending on how much the filter is used and the environment. However, because of the intensive exposure to surface contaminates in an ICU ward, which will coat the exterior surfaces of the mask and filter, I strongly recommend modifying the above schedule to replace the filter whenever the mask itself is cleaned and sterilized. In any case, do _not_ wash the filter. It's electrostatically charged to filter aerosolized particulates like Covid-19 and washing neutralizes that charge.

I use this in my Oura mask - how many hours before changing?

About a week, assuming 1-3 hours a day of regular daily use. Like all N95 filters, these are electrically charged. That charge begins to dissipate when the filters are regularly exposed to air (and moisture in the air).
