Be prepared to laugh and swoon 💓
Get ready to loose yourself in a fantastic, funny, and incredibly wonderful love story. A story of a pregnant woman who is not in a relationship or even mild interested with the father. She is fearless (mostly) and determined to do this on her own. What fabulous luck for her to have a wonderful and supportive best friend. Bonus points because that person also was an unwed mother. Best of all her best friend has an amazing brother who is...wait for it...an OBGYN! AND he's hot, kind, generous, and offers her a place to live when her plumbing fails and the house turns out to be a disaster of mold and rot of epic proportions. Buckle up, the fun is just starting! I loved the characters, the pranks, the raw fears, the support, the acceptance, and the relationships formed. I confess I read it in an afternoon, and would have continued non-stop if there had been another book in the series! Terrific author who writes characters I want for best friends.

Jessie & Drew ❤️
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 It seems like everything that could cause Jessie to detest her best friend’s brother Drew happens. He’s an attractive doctor who she knows she will fall for if she only lets herself feel. But after being abandoned by her father, her mom passing away when she was young and the father of her unborn baby high tailing it away from her, Jessie is not in a place to trust any guy. But could the pranks be hiding some real feelings? 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 So many tropes and such great romcom moments keep this funny story from Sarah Adams moving swiftly. It’s the second in a series but works perfectly as a standalone. Underneath all the aggressive feelings, both Drew and Jessie are kind and silly for each other. It’s a fun and slightly ditsy read, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon ❤️ Read on Kindle My rating 4/5 - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Much better than book one
What a freaking gem of a cute, instalovey romance! So I just read the first book in this series yesterday and I didn't love it. But I was curious about Jessie and Drew. Mostly because at the end of the first book you realize Jessie hates Drew and there is a reason she'd be irritated for sure. But hate? I was confused. This book is full of troupes that I dont't love (Enemies to lovers, instalove, non communication and Drew and Jessie were constantly playing pranks on each other), but this book just worked for me. It could have to do with the fact that for every troupe I didn't love there was one I did love (fake dating, forced proximity, only one bed)! This book like book one is closed door, but the tension between the two MC was great. I really felt their chemistry. This book felt a tad spicier than book one IMO. I adored both main characters, and I love the premise of this book. I even liked Lucy better in this book (not much better, but better. She still literally never had her kid). What I didn't love was the contrived HEA. Their relationship moved so fast. She was like almost 8 months pregnant when they started dating and the HEA came just weeks after the baby was born. I know it's a book, but I had to roll my eyes. Sometimes happy for now is the better option. And while it was still a "get it done in a day" book, parts felt almost too long. Also these books are in a series title "It Happened In Nashville " and we get like nothing about Nashville (not a huge deal obviously, just confused by it). I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, mid to low angst closed door read.

The Temporary Roomie Review
“I think it’s probably unhealthy, but since the day I met you, you’re all I think about, and I’m helpless to do anything about it.” - The Off Limits Rule ^^^^ Also, ME as I daydream about Sarah Adams books!^^^ I'M IN LOVE! I'M IN LOVE! AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT!!! I am completely head over heels in love with Sarah Adams's writing. 😍 She is a BINGE-WORTHY author that you will not regret picking up!!! I am so glad that I came across the, It Happened in Nashville series on Kindle Unlimited. I devoured these books like they were a brownie with a warm gooey center, fresh out of the oven! *Chefs kiss* Oh so, SO Good! Perfect Rom-Coms that will have you holding back a snort from laughing too hard *I may or may not be speaking from experience* ... While each book in the series can be read as an individual book, the characters from both stories are interconnected, so I highly recommend reading The Off-Limits Rule before reading The Temporary Roomie. You will want to hear about Lucy & Cooper's story before entering into the story of Jessie & Ryan. "If a partner doesn’t make you want to blow steam out your nostrils, you better start kicking up a storm of something, or your passion is gonna shrivel up faster than a pickle on a sidewalk in summer." Our pugnacious OTP Jessica (Jessie) Barns and Andrew (Drew) Marshall can't help but throw zingers each other's way. Jessie has always had it out for Drew and he has no idea why, but he is happy to play right along. These two will have you ROTFL with the pranks they play on each other. Its Pure Gold!!! With forced proximity and a few excellent pranks Jessie and Drew start to see there is more to this than just games. "Jessie is starting to make sense to me, and she's only becoming more beautiful as she comes into focus" The progression of Jessie and Drews relationship was absolutely perfect! I loved every minute of this book. Stayed up way too late to read it in one sitting - and I DONT regret it at all!* IF you have yet to experience the magic of Sarah Adams books, go pick up the It Happened in Nashville series! You won't regret it! Read if you like: Dual POV Enemies to lovers Forced proximity Fake Dating Pranks Sisters best friend Closed-door romance

LOL
Another outstanding Rom-Com from Sarah Adams! Seriously, if you need to bring sunshine into your day, READ THIS BOOK! It literally had me laughing out loud! Also silly giggle fits. And good deep chuckles. I'm sure my husband thought I was going crazy 😂 Pregnant Jessie is in need of a place to stay while her home is getting repaired. Dr. Drew needs a date to a formal charity event for his hospital. The perfect solution is to help each other out! But these two are determined to drive each other crazy. The prank war begins. The chemistry between them is palpable. Jesse's fiestiness and Drew's dependability work so well together. You can see the attraction grow between them, even as they try to deny it at every turn. So yeah, I loved it. Absolutely loved it. I have loved all of Sarah's books. Seriously, pick one up today - you'll thank me.

Super fun rom-com!
Sarah has done it again! She keeps writing these winning books and I absolutely love her for it! Thank you for giving me many smiles, a good handful of laugh-out-moments (including one where I laughed so hard and long, my husband thought I might have lost it), and a book that ends with so many warm fuzzies and happy thoughts. Just delightful and so much fun! Jessie and Drew are enemies. Drew doesn’t know why they are enemies, he just knows they are. So he performs his duty to keep up his enemy role. Jessie knows why they are enemies and she guards her secret very close to her heart. I loved all the little twists that kept me guessing what would come next. I loved how Drew eventually started finding the cracks in Jessie’s armor and started exposing her vulnerabilities, but in small enough increments that she learned to trust him. I loved how Jessie started coming around and learning how to trust someone, even though it was so hard for her to do. The pranks and witty banter are spot on all throughout. I love the inner dialogue, too. Just so good! I love how relatable Sarah Adams’ characters are. The inner turmoil both characters experienced, as well as how they moved on from it and learned how to overcome, were perfect. Loved it so much. I was glad Lucy and Cooper had more of a presence in this book. I loved seeing them so much and from a slightly different angle than in the first book. I adored Drew’s doctor friends and Jessie’s granddaddy. If you enjoy a good, clean rom-com, I cannot recommend this series enough. Note: Some swearing; kissing/making out; sexual intimacy implied but closed-door. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Sarah Adams did it again!
As others have mentioned, I had some trepidation about this whole pregnancy trope thing. I thought to myself, “wait, is that even allowed??” I also wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Drew, just because he hadn’t made a huge impression on me in The Off Limits Rule. Welp, I was already sold on Drew in his first chapter. Great book boyfriend. It took me a few chapters to warm up to Jessie because she comes across as mean at first; not like evil, but like Kate at the beginning of The Cutting Edge. It didn’t make sense to me, even in The Off Limits Rule, that Jessie hated Drew for seemingly no legit reason. Backstory is everything; as I learned more about Jessie and got to know her, I was fully on board for both Jessie’s healing and the burgeoning HEA. Now I feel like she’s a friend that I care about. I’m not gonna lie, I was stressed for the first half of the book because I knew Jessie had a big prank planned and I didn’t like the idea of her annihilating Drew. When the prank actually happened, I breathed a sigh of relief; it was big, but I had imagined way worse things. As a bonus? The aftermath of Jessie’s prank rocketed the stakes and the tension between Jessie and Drew to next level arenas. It was at that point that I fully saw the puzzle pieces click into place for these two. “Is that why you’re single? I mean other than your severe and crippling obnoxiousness? Are women not comfortable dating you since you’re an OB?” Banter. This book is loaded with delicious banter. I feel like the author really hit her stride with this book. She writes with complete confidence and makes you believe the story, makes you believe the chemistry. Speaking of chemistry, this book sizzles even though it’s a closed door romance. I’ve loved all that I’ve read by Sarah, but this one was my favorite. It was different somehow; something about it touched my heart differently than the others. Get this book. Either on kindle unlimited or purchased, you won’t regret it. Plus, if you loved The Off Limits Rule, you’ll be happy to get a chance to catch up with Lucy and Cooper because they get featured in an organic way that makes the story feel more complete.

Only 4 stars
Not because I didn’t love this book, I did in the end but I struggled with Jessie and how horrible she was to people sometimes and they were still nice to her and super forgiving! When she tricked her best friend and ended up spying instead of giving her a girls night out like Lucy clearly wanted and the way she humiliated Drew and although he was mad, I didn’t feel like he was mad long enough and just let it go! Overall it was cute and I’m happy I read it and got so invested in it!

Fabulous
This book was incredible!! The synergy between those two "ennemies" was extraordinary! My heart just died of too much cuteness a couple of time. I really really liked Drew! This author is so talented, and mega funny. Like crazy funny! All along, I was wondering how this person is in real life. I can just imagine her bringing laughter everywhere she goes. Good job Sarah Adams! Can't wait to read another one of your books!

A well written feel good book
Fun to read! The characters and the story are well build up. It's the kind of book your sad to leave behind because you fell in love with every character. A feel good story that makes you want to believe there is still hope.
