Miffy's Garden

Every child should have a set of Miffy books - although I am not too sure of the p.c. ness of one or two of them! They were written some years ago now. The illustrations are wonderful in their naivety. Miffy goes through all the trials of life like we do - goes to school, goes to hospital, has a new sibling, goes to the art gallery. Love her. I met Miffy at a book fair once - what a thrill.

Inspiring a young gardener
The whole family always (and still does) enjoy the Dick Bruna classics. I grew up with Miffy and it's nice now that my children can too! They make reading fun. My 2.5 year old now recalls each page from memory before I've even read it to her!

A nurturing aid
My 2.5 yr daughter is a die hard fan of Miffy. This book becomes a good learning companion in teaching her workings in the garden and what a fun it would be to earn own produce from own effort, which meets my purpose in her upbringing.

Read the book (and maybe grow some carrots)
Gave this book to a small child, along with a packet of carrot seeds and a watering-can. Present a great success and the book was enjoyed while we waited for the carrots to grow. Recommend this for anyone around the age of 2+ years

Childrens' classic.
Some of the translations into english are 'clunky' and do not rhyme in Australian, American or British english..... otherwise a fabulous childrens' classic.
