Golden Masterpiece
one of the majestic silent beast of the deep , the armored details are so impressive and the paint work highlights it even more , am so happy to have got this figure. Safari is amazing, these figures are more collectors treasures and they also very good for children to play with ( durable) but even children can imagine their own worlds and make dioramas for these beautiful figures. The paint applications on these safari products are also very impressive and make them valuable over time.

More attractive but smaller than Schleich counterpart
A great Safari Ltd Dunkleosteus figure with attractive iridescent "bass" paint scheme, mouth does not move. Shown with the Safari Ltd. Behemoth, hermit crab, Schleich Dunkleosteus (larger with movable mouth, but less attractive, depends on the look you want) and as well as McFarlane Dragons and D&D mini MEDIUM, LARGE and HUGE bases. Koplow 55mm countdown die.

The Mighty Bite of the Dunkleosteus is So Much Fun!
Omigosh, was I ever thrilled to find a Dunkleosteus toy figure! What a monster! You see, I have a fondness for various extinct critters like the quagga, the archaeopteryx, the sabre-toothed cat, and so forth, and a dunkleosteus inspires a special kind of fear and wonder that such a thing ever existed! It's great, cantilevered jaws and large format teeth made the bite force of this creature so terrible, that it could crunch the biggest crab, munch on a mosasaur, or even give nightmares to the biggest sea predator of all; the mighty Megalodon or giant shark! For though the dunkleosteus was smaller, it was a muscular powerhouse that could chomp down on anything it wanted. Of all the scary things that could still be roaming our oceans, let's be glad it isn't one of these! In the meantime, the neat green-black paint scheme suits this creature very well, including the white mouth, (which reminds me of the Cottonmouth Snake!), and long, tapering tail. Just holding this toy sparks the imagination and makes one imagine that all the other plastic dinosaurs are surely feeling the grim fear that the Dunkleosteus is prowling the waters somewhere nearby. I'm very pleased to have this particular interpretation of this old terror of the seas in my collection, and I'm sure other dinosaur enthusiasts would like him too!

If your child loves prehistoric creatures...
... then consider adding Dunkleosteus to your collection. It's a beautiful figure, capturing Dunkleosteus's bony features and thrilling my 4-year-old who is infatuated with unique prehistoric life forms and is always thrilled to see this one at the American Museum of Natural History. The figure has a little heft to it, which is great. Nothing fancy here, just a perfect toy for imaginative play.

Fantastic replica!
This dunkleosteus is really wonderful! My son has many, many dinosaur and prehistoric creatures from this same line, but his favorites (and the most difficult to find) are the prehistoric sea creatures. I have never seen a dunkleosteus replica before, so I had to have this one for him. He LOVES it. And no one else he knows has one, so he feels pretty special. It's very detailed and extremely durable. If you are into these things, you'll love it and need it for your collection. Now if I could just find megalodon...

Love Safari products!
Very happy with the Safari products. Very well made. The package arrived in a timely manner, packaged securely and appropriately. This fish was large and strong. Will last for a life time. A must have for any young paleontologist.
