Works great but keep it odor free and clean
I use this bottle only for hairstyling. I have thick, long naturally curly hair. I mix water and other ingredients in it such as vegetable glycerine, natural oils, etc in the bottle and spray the contents on my hair for moisture. It creates a fine mist on the hair but you have to make sure to direct the nozzle to exactly the area you want moistened, otherwise the mist goes into the atmosphere. Here is a tip for getting rid of any lingering odors, scents or fragrances from the bottle. A good idea is to do this BEFORE ever using it because it removes any lingering odor from manufacturing or storage.1. Remove pump spray lid. Rinse the empty bottle with cool water very well. 2. Fill the bottle up 3/4 with cool water. 3. Fill the last 1/4 up with white distilled vinegar. 4. Replace the cap securely then shake the bottle to mix the vinegar and water together well. 5. Let it rest for 5 mins. Then push the pump nozzle and the spray the bottle contents directly into a sink a few times. Maybe ten. 6. Open bottle and pour contents down the drain. 7. Rinse the bottle and pump cap several times with cold water pouring out all the water. 8. Fill with cold water, securely replace cap, spray the water into a sink a few times. 9. Open bottle, pour remaining water down the drain, pump the nozzle to get out any water left inside it. 10. Place bottle and spray pump somewhere so that it can air dry. The vinegar and water solution takes away any lingering odor or scent from whatever contents the bottle contained. Once dried vinegar smell and any other odor will be gone as vinegar is known to be a great deodorizer. This bottle works great if you use it properly and keep it odor and mold free utilizing the vinegar/water method above.

Great sprayer, but gives water mildew smell.
I bought this to use for my curly hair. I need to wet my hair to refresh my curls each day, and using other spray bottles or just my hands was difficult. This bottle worked great for this purpose! The fine mist gave me great coverage without completely soaking my hair, and I liked that I could just hold the sprayer down for several seconds at a time. I took off stars, though, because every time I use this (even the first time), the water has a mildew smell that is very noticeable. The smell comes from the top part of the bottle, which is impossible to take apart and clean (as far as I can tell). For me, the smell is so off-putting that it has rendered this otherwise good product useless for me.

... people have mentioned the smell of this item is horrible..
As many other people have mentioned the smell of this item is horrible....like mildew!? This is the second time I bought this item. The first one became a bit clogged due to calcification in my water source after about a year and a half. I loved my first one and it did not have this smell issue so when I made my second purchase I bought two (one to give to my mom and it smells too). Now I won't give it to her and wonder if I should just return both! I'm so disappointed since I really loved this item the first time around. :(

Weird smell
This functions just fine, but for some reason it makes the water smell awful, which gives my hair a funky smell. I have no idea why this is happening with my bottle, but really I don't like my hair smelling like wet, dirty clothes that have mildew growing on them! Waste of money.

Unbelievably Cool!!
Bought it because I'm getting into bonsai and this sprayer looked cool.(Trying out many different kinds) To my surprise, this mister is from the future. The tank is is actually a flexible plastic liner. It gets smaller as you consume water, IE as this tank empties, the liner shrinks as to make sure that the inlet and diaphragm/pressure tank are always submerged. The top is a twist lock. No screwing on the top. Just insert and twist about 1/4 turn to lock and seal. Then the best part. Pull the trigger all the way and hold and it keeps spaying for like a second or two. It has an internal pressure storage chamber or something. Pump the trigger three times quickly and hold and it continuously sprays for like 3 seconds. Squeeze the trigger just a little and get a short burst of spray. Basically it works just like any sprayer, but does a continuous spray if you continually squeeze and release the trigger. IE It is possible to get a constant mist from it if you constantly pump it. Amazing. Never saw this technology before. Didn't work when it arrived. If this happens(only happened once for me so far, filled it with water and nothing happened when I squeezed the trigger) you need to get it started. Do this by filling with water, install the top and pump it. Nothing will come out, but the long tube will look like it's filling with water and bubbles will be in it. It's trying to work, but he diaphragm is stuck or something. Now, take the sprayer back apart(untwist and remove top) and then pressurize the diaphragm(the shorter white plastic thing) with your mouth while pumping the trigger. I think a check valve or something was stuck. Has been working perfectly since then. No problem with that. So, the quality of the mist is pretty fine. It isn't water vapor(no mister can do that!), but it's as good as the best single pump hand mister I've ever used. It's fun to use, and easy to refill due to the twist lock.

Folds in plastic, came looking used. No idea how to open the lid. So disappointed.
The media could not be loaded. I CANNOT wait to return this!!! Absolutely disgusted. It looks like it has already been used. There’s condensation or something going on in the tubing. Also, there’s plastic inside and it looks folded/ bent. No IDEA how to even get the top off (video posted as well). There is an arrow but if you try to press in or turn there or anything nothing happens. Not even sure how to open it, but not even sure I want to as others have said theirs that came like this smelled like sewer water. Nasty.
