I finally bit the bullet and bought the Big Shot after seeing it everywhere, and I am obsessed. First off, this thing is built like a tank. It’s got a good weight to it, so it doesn't slide around the table while you're cranking, which was a huge worry of mine. It cuts through cardstock like butter, but I’ve also tried felt and even thin balsa wood, and it handled them perfectly. I actually prefer this over my electronic cutting machine for quick jobs because I don't have to fiddle with software or updates—I just make my "sandwich," crank it through, and boom. Done.

Great new style bigshot
When my old bigshot started to give up I knew exactly what I wanted. Love the new version, so quiet. Good solid base with handle to click in and take out and store underneath. Hope it last as long as the old bigshot 15 years.
