Comfortable, simple, reliable
(UPDATE - on the 15th October 2017 I managed to break 3 spokes on the rear wheel, despite having only done around 50 miles on almost entirely asphalt / paved surfaces in suburban areas, not going off-road at any point. I did lift the scooter a couple of times during the last journey (of about 6 miles), but only going at slow speeds, to get over a couple of speed humps. I will try and get the spokes replaced - if you have the same problem, don't bother with Halfords (UK), as they won't cut spokes to length for small bicycle wheels.)I purchased this recently as I use an Oxelo Town 9 EF (2016 edition) for commuting to work, but wanted something with pneumatic wheels that would be more suitable for leisure use on rough tarmac, grass, dirt and other surfaces that solid wheels don't work so well on. I also didn't want it to be too big, hence I got the New City model (16" front wheel, 12" rear wheel). The scooter came flat-packed and only required some relatively simple assembly (unclip brake cables, attach wheels with supplied quick-release fittings, reclip brake cables, fit handlebars, that's about it), and comes with good instructions - crucially, in legible English, despite being a Czech-designed, Chinese-built product! On the roads and pavements, the speed is not quite as high as you would get from solid-wheel scooters like Oxelo, Micro, Razor etc. but you benefit from not having to weave around hazards like raised dots and rumble strips (for blind pedestrians), manhole covers, drain covers, uneven/bumpy surfaces, and so on. So the net speed reduction from the higher rolling resistance of pneumatic tires is a good trade-off, with the obvious downsides of being vulnerable to punctures (as with 99.9% of pedal bikes). On grassy surfaces, performance is (as you'd expect) slower than on tarmac, but good enough to get you along if the underlying earth isn't too uneven. In general, I find the bumpiness to be more bearable on this scooter, though, as compared to a bicycle (since your backside isn't really built to take the brunt of those forces - but your feet and legs are! Although, you may not agree...)The only thing that has defeated me, or at least left me going very slowly, is up hills - all on tarmac, of course, you would likely need to push this scooter up grassy or dirt hills, or if the road/pavement itself is very steep. But if I ride in the road and push with my foot on the kerbside (which is more level with the scooter deck), this can negate the effects somewhat.Ground clearance and deck height is also good - though I haven't measured it for comparison with my Oxelo scooter, it doesn't feel significantly harder on the body when pushing the scooter along. Do keep in mind ground clearance of the deck before running over potholes, speed humps and similar hazards, as you'll likely scrape either the bottom of the deck, or the kickstand (this folds up under the deck, at the front end).My only slight criticism is that the handlebars feel too wide for me, though I am very settled on the narrower Oxelo handlebar setup, so this may take longer to adjust here. In its defence, the width of the handlebars means there is lots of space to mount lights, gadget mounting arms, bicycle pumps etc, plus carrier bags for shopping, or even a zip-up bag to keep a puncture repair kit in.Wide handlebars do also make it easier to control, though, and you should be able to ride one-handed (if absolutely necessary!) for brief periods of time without fear of falling off. (DO NOT try this on small-wheel scooters, you will crash! I found this out the hard way...)I should also mention, in case it's not entirely clear, that no part of this scooter folds up - although you can remove both wheels with the quick-release levers if necessary.Lastly, I've not tried taking one of these onto a London Tube train yet, but you *might* get away with it if you are travelling on a fairly-empty train. (I'm referring to deep-tube lines like the Central and Bakerloo here - you should be able to board the sub-surface lines like the Circle line just about any time with one of these, unless it is extremely crowded.)You should be fine with taking one on heavy-rail trains, but try to get on in the areas with fold-up seats. In both cases, you'll have to lift the scooter up to get through standard-width ticket barriers (use wide-aisle ticket barriers if possible). So, in conclusion - would recommend this if you want a more comfortable scooter ride. Not much more to add!

Very stable, probably impossible to fall off
I bought this as a second scooter as I wanted something that I felt safe on in wet conditions. I am in my forties and have had a few scary incidents on my other scooter where the wheels just seemed to shoot off sideways and I had to leap off quickly before I fell flat on my face. This is so stable I can actually scoot holding the handlebars with one hand, and at the same time pull my two year old niece along on her scooter with my other hand. It's a very solid scooter, so you have to work a little bit harder, than with something very lightweight, and of course it doesn't fold. However, it doesn't feel rickety and I don't feel the constant need to be really careful, lest I end up in A&E.

Great machine. As an adult user in his sixties
Great machine. As an adult user in his sixties, I bought it for off road use and it takes the bumps of forest roads and rough footpaths with ease. On the flat road it will really fly if you want it to. Robust and well made would recommend for anybody intent on having a bit of fun.

Solid purchase.
We love this scooter. Solid, easy to 'ride', it's a constant battle between myself and my 10 year old daughter as to who gets on it first. May have to buy another one! 5 star recommendation.
