Driver support and Cheap Hardware
It will drive two monitors for work duty, but running dual monitors from a laptop that has the power to drive them on independant cables this dock falls short. The driver package is not included with the dock, you have to go out and find it to get the device working, and when you do good luck with framerates. The Dock doesn't handle two displays above 10FPS in any game i've tried. Driving the dock is a 6GB Dedicated NVidia 1060 in an MSI Stealth Laptop. Running a single display the framerate issue doesn't occur.Tried to run an external deisplay from a MacBook Pro - Fails to display multiple desktops, just drops the same desktop on both displays, as the driver kit doesn't support the functionality expected for the device.Hardware is Meh; software for it is vague and flawed. Go with a different Chipset Manufacturer for the Dock, DiaplyLink has significant issues not expected, though if i had researched it more i would have known about all of it's problems. A quick google search will reveal the issues with this Docking Station's Chipset. Also; docking station does not provide the power needed to keep the Laptop out of Eco Mode - though it's a gaming laptop so that is understandable. Makes a good USB hub though...

Connected all my desktop peripherals to my laptop with a single easy plug
I bought this to connect my ASUS Q524UQ laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 port to all the peripherals we've been using with a desktop PC.I got tired of maintaining two separate systems (laptop and desktop), and when I read about Thunderbolt 3, I realized it could solve the problem of using my two large monitors and the keyboard and mouse and external hard drive and Ethernet and speakers with a SINGLE plug! How cool is that!So I bought this docking station to test the concept before tossing the old desktop. I needed to buy a couple adapter cables to convert the HDMI outputs to DVI and VGA (okay, older monitors, stop laughing!). I selected this docking station because it had twin HDMI outputs, Ethernet cable, audio plugs, and plenty of USB3 ports. In other words, everything I wanted to connect would be accommodated without any additional plug connections or USB splitters. The only thing it can't do is power a laptop over the TB3 cable, but it didn't matter in my case because my laptop doesn't support charge-over-Thunderbolt anyway. And I don't really mind plugging in a power cable.Once it arrived, I moved my plugs from the desktop to this docking station, connected the TB3 cable, and fired up the laptop. After a little bit of display configuration (telling my laptop to ONLY use the external video, instead of extending the monitor), it just worked. Plug in the TB3 cable, and the desktop keyboard and mouse and monitors were instantly available. Unplug the TB3 cable, and the laptop screen powered back on and I could take the laptop to the couch to work. This is a productivity situation, with mainly Office apps and web browsing - I did NOT test this unit for how well it handled very high rate video data, like gaming or video editing. So here's the wrap-up: This is the way PC hardware SHOULD be: it just does what you expect with a minimum of fuss - a single, simple, non-directional cable to connect all that gear flawlessly.

Nice product
I attached this docking station to my HP 15 Pavilion i7Intel Laptop with Windows 10. My current (2) monitors use VGA or DVI connections. I purchased (1) HDMI to DVI cable for 1 monitor. My previous laptop and docking station provided for Display adapter and DVI, so I had a Display Adapter to DVI dongle. This works well with this docking station. I connected to the docking station via USB C to USB C cable. With the laptop in clamshell mode, I don't believe this docking station will power ON my laptop. The other docking station did. So, if I perform a shutdown, I have to then open the laptop, hit the power button, close the laptop, put it away. That's the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

With This Docking Station I Can Connect Up To 3 HD Monitors
My old desktop had 2 NVIDIA Display cards that made it possible for me to connect up to 3 HD monitors. It was great haviong all the extra window space. I can stream Netflix movies on my 60" UHD screen and do work on the other 2 32" inch screens on my desk. When it was time to get a new computer I decided to get away from a bulky desktop computer and go for the portability of a state of the art laptop computer. I wanted to be able to connect my UHD display and my other 2 HD displays to it. I researched many laptop docking stations and found this one. I was able to connect a variety of display types to this docking station. With this docking station my laptop is even more powerful than my old desktop in addition to having the portability of a 17" laptop. A definite buy recommendation on this one.

Just what I needed!
The HDMI port went out on my laptop. Rather than fix that I went with this device to get back to using my big monitor. It's so nice to free up all the usb ports on the laptop too! It even works for wireless keyboard and mouse as well!
