Q: the product claims 3,000 cfm, but does it really?

I don’t think so. It seems pretty weak to me.

Q: Have a V8 swapped wrangler with this move enough air to keep it around 180F or lower?

I had to buy a shroud that this fit in and then reverse the wiring and reverse the blade and use it as a pull fan to direct more air onto the motor. It works fine for me that way.

Q: Description says 3000cfm but details say 800cfm

All I know is it moves enough air to keep my muscle car cool. I added it as a "pusher" to my stock system.

Q: How do you wire this in, because apparently i am doing it wrong even though it should work how i have it.

If you are mounting it onto the side of the radiator it is used as a push fan and pushes the air through toward the engine. That is the way it is set up when you purchase it. If you are mounting it on the inside of the radiator nearest the engine it is a puller fan and the positive and negative wires will have to be reversed. Also you will have to take the fan cover off and turn the blades over so they will turn in the right direction. What I did was google it and found wiring instructions.
