What is the guage of the poo? I would need to drill two 3/8 holes from the top surface.

the poo is roughly 1/8" in thickness but this varies and the scratch n sniff feature may be compromised if you drill too many holes.

What is the size on this and is it heavy?

Size is typical of a large dog poop, not as heavy as a fresh pile of real dog poop assuming that dog is not fed a lower quality dog food with grain and bone marrow.
