American heartburn remedies don't work for me. I had hoped maybe the American Gaviscon would, since it was liquid and the first heartburn medicine I found in Europe that worked was the liquid sachets (UK version), but no, it was useless. Since those sachets are hit or miss on if they can be ordered, I was desperate for something else. I initially found these in the PM version, which were amazing, but definitely knocked me out and were not something I could use during the day. These didn't initially come up as an option, but I bought them as soon as I found them, and they work well, and don't taste awful. I also love that these came with a travel size bottle, which I can keep in my purse or take with me on short trips. Be sure to thoroughly chew the tablet before swallowing. It will create a foamy texture in your mouth, which can be uncomfortable if you have trouble with some textures, but it's quick, and they don't work very well otherwise. The bottle says take 2-4 tablets at a time, so I always start with 2 and give it a little while before deciding if I need more; 2 usually works fairly well, but I have occasionally needed more. I will continue to order this version to have on hand.

Outstanding. SO glad to have found this version of Gaviscon! The US version is useless - and they started adding aluminum to it a number of years back when they changed the ingredients (and efficacy!) A lot of money, but about the same as buying from Canada and having it shipped, so....The tablets need to be thoroughly chewed before swallowing to activate foming; the foam creates the gastric barrier.

Developed a chronic cough after being in the hospital for pulmonary embolisms. It was horrible, coughing all day, every day for almost a year. Finally I saw a cough specialist who told me to get the Canadian Gaviscon and I barely ever cough now! It really is a miracle worker. I accidentally ordered the American version first, and it definitely doesn’t work as well as the Canadian one. Try this! It’s worth the money!

Not the same as the USA medicine under the same name. Recommended by my doctor it works. Blocks stomach acid from coming back up. Buy Canadian brand!

I wish they made this product in the US to keep the cost down. This product works better than the equivalent Gaviscon tablets available in the US but has no aluminum.

This product was recommended by my husband’s ENT following surgery to help prevent food from coming up every time he bends down or flexes his stomach muscles.

This is the very best thing on the market for bad heartburn. I don't bother with any other product anymore. This stuff works and lasts for hours. Don't be put off but the fizz at first--it gets much more palatable over time.
