Maths on Target

I bought the target your maths Y5 book by Stephen Pearce andthis Y5 answer book that was recommended to buy with it.The answer book does not match and does not link with math on target year 5. It is called maths on target y5 instead of target your maths. Do not buy the answer book recommended . I am unable to say if it is the editor mistake or Amazon ‘ mistake but it is surely misleading for the buyer!!!!!!

THIS BOOK SHOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDED as answer book - it does not correspond to the question book it is linked to. A complete waste of money - unfortunately I realised this too late to return as I bought the books in advance of needing them.

VERY MISLEADING!!! Made the mistake of ordering this as the recommended answer book to the text but and didn't click on it to read the review and see the small difference in title (as it was recommended by amazon). This book does not match, has nothing to do with target your maths and was a complete waste of money. Amazon should stop promoting it as the recommended answer sheet!! Would give it 0 stars if it would let me.

I bought the target your maths Y5 book by Stephen Pearce and the Y5 answer book that was recommended to buy with it. I also did the same for the Y6 and answer book but the Y5 answer book does not link to the Y5 book questions. It also says maths on target y5 instead of target your maths. These should not be recommended to buy together!!!!!

I use this with my Year 5 class. It’s a great book to consolidate mathematical skills and it can be used for homework differentiated for 3 group levels.

I honestly can't get my head around why the answers aren't written in the text book. Why make teachers spend more money? It's not even a particularly good quality book.

I got this for my son who is in year 5 and it has REALLY helped him. In fact he has even noticed the difference while at school. The other day he got a 25/25 and was so impressed with himself as he had not yet achieved a score that high. Proper chuffed with my little man!

Very poor indeed. Answers completely wrong. Do not match any of the questions from the year 5 book target book. If I could give this item a minus I would!

This was recommended alongside Target Your Maths Year 5. It is not the answer book for this, it is for something else. Please make sure you double check as I have wasted £5.

This is based around the old maths framework...in sections A-E etc. However if you do want to get it as an extra set of tasks it works

Arrived quickly. Good quality. As described.

This book is well laid out with unit and term ordered tasks to meet each of the learning objectives. There are also assessment tasks for each of the units. The work is set at three different levels with good working examples to model to the class. My only gripe is having to pay so much for the answer booklet (12.99) as there are no answers in this book.That said it is only Year 3 so quite manageable but that may not be the case as you progress to the higher year group books. Worth every penny!

Answer booklet pages do not correspond with the actual books pages. I would not recommend buying. I am thoroughly disappointed because the book itself is very good.

This is a very useful resource to use in the classroom. I use this often with my year 5 class as homework and to ensure understanding of different aspects in mathematics. There are also learning objectives in line with the mathematics framework so you can link the work to the National Curriculum and Mathematics Framework units.

Bought this for my son to help him catch up after a 4 month spell off school from illness. Fabulously structured and uncluttered book. Finding it really useful and seems to cover every subject. Short and clear explanations followed by test questions. Great!
