Minecraft: The Crash: An Official Minecraft Novel

I really like the book. theres a great balance between action,calmness and happyness. I wish people could rate books 100 stars because that would be me. now I don't usually rate books but when I do, it means I REALLY LIKE THEM!!!!!!!!!

I bought this book for my son for this Independent Reading assignment. He's been a big fan of Minecraft since he was six but he's never read any of the novels until now. He's very much engrossed in the book and he says he enjoys it a lot. So this is a gamble that definitely paid off!

My kid loves this book.

Spoiler alert!!My 8 year old loved the book and was happily squirreled away reading it since I bought it for him. BUT last night, after he finished the last page he came to me in tears because one of the main characters in the crash dies at the end of the book. He was sobbing for hours last night and had bad dreams. He is a very sensitive boy, this would be fine for other kids. But not for those with a tender heart. We'll give one of the other books a try!

Not a fun book. Would not recommend for a kid who doesn’t already love reading. The author obviously isn’t very familiar with Minecraft and doesn’t seem to care much about the game. More focused on “life lessons” and “serious topics”. Not at all what I or my sons were looking for in a book about a video game. The whole book was full of arguing, drama, heavy on emotions, very stressful, not a satisfying or fun ending. Depressing.
