This is TNT on woody plants and trees!
Want to take out a 30ft tree? Tordon will do it! Yikes! Sumac? Yep! The trick to Sumac is perseverance. The root system is massive in some patches of this stuff but I have been on a huge patch of it and it is killing it in sections. Drilling holes in the larger roots and stalks and putting tordon directly in the hole does a number on them. Larger trees it works best girdering the base with a hatchet and applying it. You don't need much and it needs to get into the cambium layer which is on the other side of the bark. We drilled holes into a large elm tree, about 4 holes, 2-3 inches deep and squirted Tordon. 3 days later, this tree was definitely stressing! 2 weeks later, it looked like some of it was dead already. It is Fall now and that is the best time since the sap is is going back into the roots or so they say. I'm not an arborist but needed to take out some big trees but be very careful with this stuff. It will leach into the soil surrounding the tree or bush you are trying to get rid of. If a plant or bush is nearby and you want it to live, don't use this or dig it up and move it before you do. Impossible with large trees so I would not use this at all if there is a chance of killing your fav tree next to the one you don't want. 10ft around it seems to be susceptible but it could be more so don't take my word for it! lol!

Gets the job done first time.
This is a great product! In our area we have the evasive Chicken Tree (Chinese Tallow). It will come up anywhere. If you just cut it back, it returns from the stump. Itโs in your flower bed along your fenceline. I now cut it back and squeeze a little Tordon to cover the cut area. When you come back the following season, itโs dead, you can just kick the little stump out the ground.

Invaluable Yard Tool
Had an out of the way section of my yard, which once held a swimming pool at one end, that had been neglected for 10 years. It was full of weed trees of different sizes, plus vines. Also fences with weed trees growing along them. I had been cutting them down and weed eating them for years and they just grew back. Someone recommended this stuff and it's a lifesaver. Just put a little in a can and applied it with a paint brush as I went round cutting. None of the trees ever grew back, from tiny saplings to quite large old trees and bushes. Some I had cut down multiple times which had regrown each time had bases 6" wide. They all died. After a couple of years the dead stumps are easy to pull out. It wasn't quite as effective on vines, I guess because they have runners with roots in multiple places. Still, after cutting on the vines for 2 or 3 years and applying Tordon each time they did die off eventually. Now the old pool area is grass and my fences are clean and tidy.

Good product .
Does what it is supposed to do but it affected the surrounding vegetation much more than I expected even though I used it very sparingly. Cutting off the small tree stems and spraying only the top and a small area around. Doing this one buy one with many invasive species.Be careful with it.

A Homeowner's Must Have
If you have a yard this Tordon is essential ,, say if you have a 1 inch weed/tree , you cut it off at the ground weeks later shoots are growing from that i inch tree you cut.....Cut that i inch tree horizontally then take the Tordon and squirt on the cut and it will die , no shoots ........Two years ago i had two 10 in diameter trees in my yard that were trash trees .I took my chainsaw and cut a i inch deep dept around the trees ..Then squirted Tordon in the cut , next day squirted into the cut again , two weeks later the leaves started to die ,,killing both trees ...Say you have a half inch maple you try to pull by hand won;t budge ,,simply cut and squirt ,,,,
