Been a fan of Cherry Mash for over 50 years. Grandpa Joe’s is quite simply one of best purveyors I’ve dealt with!

Love this nostalgic taste.

What is a Cherry Mash? It is a ball of maraschino cherry flavored fondant coated in milk chocolate and roasted peanuts.They used to be sold at smaller mom and pop gas stations throughout the Midwest and Great Plains. I remember my dad getting me these when we went on roadtrips together. They're very difficult to find now.I have been craving them, but feel even less adventurous during a pandemic to go out and find a store that sells them. Unfortunately, I also learned my lesson again to not buy chocolate on the internet. I thought they'd be fine since it is springtime, and hasn't gotten above 80°F outside yet, but these (fulfilled by Amazon-so stored at their warehouse) have obviously slightly melted and rehardened. That's not Cherry Mash's fault though, and they're still better than no Cherry Mash, in my opinion. Maybe some dedicated sellers will ship these with an ice pack in warmer weather, sure doesn't hurt to ask, if you want to try these in their best and freshest form.Because of the condition of mine, I might finally try the Cherry Mash milkshake. Blend one of these up in some chocolate or vanilla ice cream and top with some whipped cream and a cherry to make it extra special. Yum!I lost my dad 7 years ago, and he always made sure that we had plenty of indulgent snacks on the road. So these will always be a nostalgic treat for me. The star was deducted because they melted before getting to me, otherwise they deserve all five stars!

Brought back memories...Love the cherry taste

... and my husband misses them terribly.The price is a little bit of a premium, but not insane or anything. The candy arrived in good shape and he assured me it was the genuine article. At least I think that's what he said. His mouth was full within moments of opening the package.

They are very sweet, but has an aftertaste I don’t like. I wouldn’t buy again. Also one of them were crushed I would recommend them be mailed back n a box

This is a really great treat that i founD in a candy store in oLd timey Auburn, CA. I ordered from Amazon as they were so great! These arrived in a box with a tiny ice pack, which I appreciated. 2 of the candies did not melt, 2 did. Still yummy.
