LIGHT IT! by Fulcrum30022-308 WRC LED Lighting System, White, 3 Piece Set

I put these in my kitchen because the only switch is across the room from where I enter. They're very helpful, but a bit dim to work by in their own. They also help fill out darker spots when the main lights are on.

I initially ordered the motion-sensor version, but it drained the battery (even on the 30s setting). I figured that something was triggering the sensor, perhaps our tankless water heater. So, I chose to order the Remote Control version as a replacement. Installation was a breeze since the previous lid matched the RC version. But if you had to secure the lid with the screws and molly bolts, simply find the center spot of the ceiling. Align the screw hole that lines up with one of the notches and it should be centered. The six LEDs produce a white light. It's not warm but it is bright. This is even more prominent when it's completely dark. When there's ambient light, or when I have the garage door open, it's sufficient but not quite as bright.Some reviewers have commented that the remote does not work. I assure you, it does. When I first installed the batteries, the light switch turns the light on/off, but the remote clicker did nothing. I flipped the DIP switches: all up, all down, up-up-down, but still no luck. Then I replaced the remote batteries with a fresh set. Then the remote started working. If you have an issue with your remote not working, first make sure that the switches are correct; then replace the remote batteries with a new set.

Use this in kitchen to give more light over the stove when preparing supper. Gives adequate light, but not as much as I had expected from their description. That is, it led you to think a certain way. But they're ok.Don't try sticking them up. Use instructions to affix them to a surface. Mine are in the ceiling.I do like the feature of the on-off switch as a separate unit which is in the wall behind the stove and of course not on the ceiling with the lights.🙄But they are good, and I will be buying another 2, which will probably give me the lighting I expected.Aesthetically, they are modern looking and attractive.Price is good for what you get.

One of the most important things I’ve learned from reading and writing reviews at Amazon is that everyone’s needs and tastes are different. Just because a product doesn’t fill your needs doesn’t make it a bad product, it may be perfect for someone else.WHYThis is one such product, how good it works really depends on what you want it to do. In my situation I have a gas barbecue grill on my large covered but open outdoor deck. The grill is located too far from the two porch lights for them to light it up enough for me to see when my steaks are ready but I didn’t want to run an electrical circuit to install a permanently mounted light over the barbecue area. Nearly every battery or solar light these days is motion activated and that is not at all what I wanted, I didn’t want a light to come on every time someone walked across the porch, only when I needed to turn it on for a few minutes to check what I’m cooking. Because it only needed to be on for a short time battery life wasn’t a concern, one set of batteries could easily last me a full season. And brightness also wasn’t a big deal, I didn’t want to read by it, just see if my meat is cooked.WHATOf all of the choices available this is the only one that I found that did exactly what I wanted. There are a couple of other ones that use remote controls but they are the tiny credit card size remotes that have a lot of dimmers and color changer buttons and easily get misplaced. The Fulcrum light uses a simple on off switch that mounts on the wall (or any other surface, like the side of my barbecue grill) that anyone can figure out how to use. On the side of the switch is a three position slider to adjust the time the light is on to 30, 60 or 120 minutes. I like that, two house is plenty long and I can always switch it back on if I want, but I like that it won’t run the batteries down if I forget to shut it off.HOWThe light mounts to a flat surface using either double sided tape or an included mounting kit and the fixture attaches securely to it using secure twist tabs. One user was very concerned that she wasn’t able to twist the two pieces apart because she didn’t have anything to grab on to. That missed the point, you are supposed to mount the base to something. Then rotating the fixture to occasionally replace the batteries is a piece of cake. I can’t imagine why you would want to unfasten the two pieces otherwise. By the way they advise against double sided tape but I disagree – it depends a lot on what you are mounting it to and how good your sticky tape is. You might also want to consider the industrial strength hook and loop tape as a mounting alternative.The light output is adequate for inside a closet or cupboard or maybe over a desk. It is exactly right for my use on the patio. The color temperature of the light is fixed, you can dim it but you can’t change colors or change how cool or warm the light color is. That is perfect for my use where I wanted and needed a strong pure bright white light.OTHER STUFFWhile I’m using this outdoors in a covered protected area. While it’s really designed to be used indoors because it is not water tight it does have a clear crystal over the bulbs and I would say it is suitable for outdoors when used in a covered, protected area like a porch.You might also want to know that you can buy this light either with or without a wireless wall switch and you can buy additional switches as well. You can operate up to 20 lights from one switch or set up multiple groups of lights, each being operated by its own switch. The wireless transmission is using radio frequency not infrared which means it works through walls, for example I can have a switch near my barbecue on the porch as another switch in my kitchen if I want.

I got one of these and installed it in my closet. I loved it and ended up getting 4 or 5 more. They all looked great at first, but it turns out they drain batteries like crazy. We’ve changed them 3 times in just over a year in all 5 that we own. It’s not sustainable. We’re going to be getting rid of them. Total waste of money and it’s too late to return them all.

Product does exactly how it's advertised. I needed a ceiling light above my desk, and there's no electricity where I needed it, so this seemed like the perfect answer. I'm still getting used to converting watts to lumens, so they were not as bright as I hoped. This is on me, they are as bright as the manufacturer claims. One cool feature is that it comes with double sided tape so you can stick it to the ceiling easy peasy. Well, it fell and crashed on my computer. Luckily, no damage. More lucky, I was not under it at the time. That would have bled. The remote is good, and you can set the bright/dim limits with the remote to conserve battery. It didn't really suit my intended purpose, which again was my fault, so I'm not sure how to use it, but I will. It's not a bad product, just use the wall anchors, and understand it's not that bright.

This is the brightest and easiest to use closet light that I've tried. However after 3 months I'm very disappointed in how quickly the batteries die out. I love the automatic shut off, but even on the shortest time setting, I have already had to change the batteries twice (in three months) on both lights that I bought. Since they take 4 D batteries, it's way too expensive to operate this light and I'll be looking for a new option.

As with the other Fulcrum lights I have purchased, I love this light! It is super bright and the quality is superb -- I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these lights, especially for the price. Additionally, I have yet had to change the batteries with extended use. The switches are wonderful and work anywhere. Highly recommended this product.

The lights worked perfectly in the kitchen under the cabinets. There were two sets of lights purchased, 4 lights in total. The switches were mounted in different locations in the kitchen for convenience. The lights make the kitchen feel cozy, and work well in the evening! It was easy to attach them, and program. The only improvement that I would suggest is to make them a bit shallower, so that they are less visible. Overall, the lights are great!
