Classic Vintage Wooden Folding Clothes Washing Airer Clothes Horse

Bought this in the hope that an old fashioned wooden style rack would be more sturdy. Sadly this product fell to pieces within a year. Unfortunately we bought two so now have two useless items.

Very useful bit of kit, great when you can't use an outdoor clothes line because of bad weather, there's nothing more annoying than pegging out washing & half an hour later it starts raining, with the maiden you can load it up put it out, if it starts raining just pick the whole thing up, no pegs, & bring it indoors, no clogging your radiators up & the house being cold. A gud little work horse.....

As soon as I got this item I knew it wouldn't last long. First time I put something a bit damp on it the rungs bent, after collapsing it a few times and putting much washing on it it started to sway to one side and after about 6weeks I got rid of it because it was horrible and looked pathetic and two of the rails came out of their slots. I have since bought a metal/plastic one that is much better

hmm when I got this item out the box and started to assemble it I noticed my sweater was mostly covered in wood dust. also most of the bars was rough, as I didn't fancy having a splinter I had to sand it down to smooth it 4 my clothes to hang on and use a wet cloths to clean the dust of it as I needed it quite badly but apart from that it seems to be ok. I buy a metal one next time as u don't expect to finish a job someone else didn't have time for or could be arsed to do...

I bought this item for my mum who's had hers for over 30 years and is now sadly beginning to sag and tilt to one side. So she was delighted to hear that wooden airers were still being made, as she thought it would be impossible to buy one now because they were considered too old fashioned for the modern woman to use. (My mum is 92yrs old!.) So thank you Hallways Household Textiles Ltd you've made one old lady very happy..

Not a bad item, but the bottom hook that keeps the whole thing in place comes off eventually when you keep closing and opening the rack (as we do each day), as it holds by a single screw, hence the three stars...

Very weak, broke early on

Product can’t self assemble. Which is not advertised. Poor communication. Now have to go to the trouble of sending back.
