not worth the money
coop was shipped out and arrived quickly. Both boxes arrived at same time. The foam packing materials inside the boxes is soft and doesn't offer enough protection. Upon opening the box I found the main back panel was cracked. However I decided to continue with assembly. The assembly I did was easy. All you need is a screw driver and pliers. The panels are thin so don't over tighten. Instructions are easy to understand. But make sure to check all panels before starting assembly. After getting half way through the assembly I found two of the nest box panels were also cracked. These panels support the floor of the nest boxes and with the cracks, I could not use them. I asked seller for replacements, but they refused to help other than sending one return label for two boxes and telling me to repack and return. Trying to repack all of these wood panels back into the boxes is very trying and takes a ton of packing tape to secure it for return due to the large size of the boxes and the weight. Seller should be able to provide replacement panels since this seems to be a issue with their coops arriving with cracked parts. The description seems to make one think that all you need to do is assemble the coop and your done and have a coop that will last for years. Not true! The coops is made of unfinished cedar and will require either staining or paint to seal if up and protect from the weather. Also the roof panels over the 2 nest boxes will leak when it rains through a gap where the roof panels meet the side walls of the main box. The large main roof panel doesn't have any type of latch to hold it down in the wind and will certainly require one. The 2 tiny latches that holds down the 2 nest box roof panels are very thin and cheap metal and should be replaced with stronger latches or hasps/padlocks. The frame work of this coop is only 1" X1" wood strips and siding boards are at best 1/4" thick. I would also recommend using silicone where all panels are screwed together to prevent water leaks. In areas with colder winters you will need a heat lamp to keep birds warm. Wood panels are thin and not insulated. If you can get one of these coops without any damage, and add another $50 to $75 worth of stuff such as glue, silicone, and stain/paint then you will have a fairly nice coop that will last a couple years but will also require regular maintenance to keep in up. I personally recommend paying more for a better quality coop and buying from a seller that offers better customer service, or if your handy, then just buy the lumber and build one yourself.

Pretty. Not very sturdy.
At first we were really thrilled, because it was wonderfully packaged, concisely labeled, and easy to assemble. Plus very pretty. But after less than a year one nesting box attachment broke out. Because of the thin wood panels, it's not an easy fix...I ended up having to put bricks under it to keep it from falling off completely. It probably doesn't help that all of them try to pile into the same box at night (they snub the roosting bars). Also, the door broke twice. The first time we just used longer screws. The second time we had to completely rebuild the door. Probably if not recommend for more than 6 chickens.

Arrived broken/misplaced
Update: Terrible customer service. Especially when dealing with a huge problem on their part; sending a broken coop with missing parts. Absolute nightmare. Don't waste your money. After previously owning chickens and having researched a quality coop, I was so disappointed when this one arrived missing three crucial parts and with broken wood pieces. Unfortunately I didn't notice these problems until beginning assembly. While the wood pieces weren't a high grade quality, as I screwed the pieces together it became nice and sturdy, definitely well enough for 6 chickens, so I persisted. I quickly noticed broken pieces to both nesting boxes and well as the nesting box roof pieces missing. It's a shame. I was attracted the it's simple, large and open design. Would have been perfect if had arrived in one, inclusive piece. I will follow up with how customer service handles the issue.

Definitely pre-fab
Easy to put together and it looks cute. Several of the pieces came with broken/damaged edges that we had to glue back on. The hinges are not sturdy and didn’t stay screwed in, pretty useless actually. Not weather proof really either so don’t plan to use in cold weather unless you can insulate it yourself somehow or bring it inside.

Good value for the price
Nice coop. Easy to assemble. Big enough for our 9 hens. 4 nesting boxes give plenty of space. We raised it by putting it on cement blocks and adding a longer ladder.

4 stars
I would have given a 5 star but there was some wood that was a little damaged. It wasnt from shipping because it was in the middle of the box. All in all im pretty happy with it.

Save your money
cheap thin woodBroke days after I put it togetherHinges are cheap , wood thin and forget about adding the rain It swells up so you can't shut the door. Its actually unreal how they charge so much for bad material that probably cost 10.00Day one the side where you lift, wood snapped when i moves the cage , broken by the hinge . Hinges do not secure even hinges are zo thin its ridiculous. So it collects eggs and my chickens sleep on top of it. Thanks for the rip off and you can't get your money back .
