This heats up differently than I expected but after you have it one for about a half hour, it begins to heat up. I imagine that each person has a different tolerance for how long they can wear it. I could wear it for a maximum of 1 hour before the magnets started hurting my skin (maybe from the heat?). After I wear it, my muscles do feel better for a little while.
