Nice little eReader, love the apps
I was considering getting one of those because it could load apps, so you could get both Amazon Kindle, Adobe Reader, Youboox, etc. I was afraid because there was only one review. I have owned 3 generations of Kobo readers and we do have 2 Kindle gen5. The fact that you have an Android with an app store makes it behave differently, more menus than a close systems, but once apps are installed it runs pretty well. There's a bit of lagging when going into the Android part, but that's not what it's for, once you've mapped your apps to the shortcuts it's easy, even for the kids. I was a bit afraid about the lower resolution but it's actually very good, comparable to my Kobos. The backlighting doesn't go as low as I wish and the color temperature does go acceptable only on the lowest value, otherwise it's just bright blue. For the apps I have added Wikipedia and Pocket, which are good additions.

Good Ereader
Got this as a second ereader to my 4th gen Kindle. Because, I'd come across an ebook in epub format, which I couldn't use on Kindle. The Kindle runs smoother than the InkBook, it freezes occasionally, but pressing a button usually unfreezes it. Overdrive apk file installed well. Cloud Library apk would install, but setup would fail to find any libraries. And thus be unusable. Sora, Libby all came up with "parse error" on installing. Still can use Cloud Library on Windows and with InkBook hooked up by USB, Then download Clould Library ebooks into the InkBook and use the InkBook's native epub reading app. So with Overdrive running on the InkBook and the ability to get Cloud Library books I have my local libraries covered. The review at Blog the ebook reader inkbook lumos review and video walkthrough give more information.

Manufacturers can not support remote technology.
i very like this product, thought someone said its not good functions, but it's open APP system, especially its display screen not flat, not thick glass layer, very like to watch the characters, clearly, soft backlight, low power consumption!I think ereader using better than mine one kindle!

Dont waste your money
This e-reader is inferior to a kindle in every way. The touch screen is unresponsive. The menus are clunky and the thing can't even lock. I thought maybe after doing all the updates it would improve but it has not. Seriously don't buy this piece of junk.
