I ordered these about 6 weeks ago and have gone through an entire A and B case. They were all fresh and sealed well. Contents were all in good shape. I have not had many MREs before other than a few given to me by friends in the service when I was younger. So getting to eat through the whole menu was fun. The entrees are all mostly like 5/10 but the snacks and desserts are all REALLY GOOD !! I was shocked at the quality of the snacks. The pound cake is so good and those choc chip cookies have me jonesing for more. The cheese and crackers was probably my favorite - I remember getting crackers from an MRE when i was a kid in the 80s and they tasted just like I remember. I initially bought 4 cases (2 A, 2B) and will be buying more to keep around for emergencies or road trips. I would keep them in a cooler if storing them in a car in the summer. Condiments/TP I'm no connoisseur but the coffee wasn't terrible - I don't use creamer so idk about that. There is sometimes even a tiny Tabasco bottle or a dehydrated hot sauce pack in there too! The TP is functional but you will want to stack and alternate sheets at 90 degree angles to make it usable. I wish I had access to these when I was in the Scouts. would have been way better to take with me on hiking and camping trips. At the current price (about $40/case) this works out to $3.33/MRE which is an insanely good price/calorie. The only thing to watch out for is the amount of sugar in the drinks. As a rather stagnant middle-aged guy I don't need a zillion empty calories like the young people who are out in the field burning a zillion cals a day in the sun. The chocolate "protein" drink is only 14g protein and 35g sugar. it's great and tastes like hot chocolate but you'll get the beetus if you OD on these.

As others have mentioned, mine ended up arriving 4 days ahead of the scheduled date, which was a nice surprise.. The best by date on mine was 2026, though with air conditioned storage, I would expect them to stay good for a few years longer than that When I bought the price was $77 for 24, which works out to ~$3.20 a meal, which is an absurdly good price for what you get in the package. I ate one Menu 3 Chicken with noodles and vegetables just out of curiosity when mine arrived. Comes with a main, a flameless heater to heat it, crackers with peanut butter and jelly, applesauce, kool-aid adjacent beverage, instant coffee, seasoning and accessories, and candy (a full size Skittles package). The main is quite tasty in my mind, easily a similar quality or better than your average TV dinner, and with the extras its really so much for the price. I got mine to give myself a week or so of overhead in the case of an emergency situation, but at that price, I might get another case just to eat them as ready made meal

Real deal. Only it seems this seller is increasing the price over time. These do taste good and all parts are in tact and good. These do not have an indefinite shelf life, however. So renew your stock every few years!

Great MRE for emergency or camping. I would be buying more!

Look, we have bought the range of packaged meals. Some tout freshness- they are. Some tout cuisine- fair enough. Some tout convenience- no argument here. What none of those meal services do is tout economy. There is a reason for that. This is a simple math problem. 12 meals per box x 2 boxes per case= 24 meals per case. $78.96 per case. (The price has gone up over time but gee, qu'elle surprise.) That equates to $3.29 per meal. I don't eat them daily. Maybe one or two per week. My mate and the occasional grandkid might down another three or four in total over a week. Let's say you live in NH like I'm, and you get a Bic Mac meal. With NH meals tax you have driven and waited in line for a Big Mac, medium fries and medium soda pop and you are out about 10 bucks. I ate beef stew, a PBJ sandwich, an orange energy drink, crackers and cheese and applesauce for $3.29. This ain't rocket scientry. I keep two closed cases on hand because of the world we live in. I order a replacement case each time I empty a third case. I think shelf life at our house is maybe a year per case and I can't tell year old from right off the truck. I don't like every meal but I'm cheap so none go to waste. On a scale of 1 to 10 tastewise, I guess the average is about 6, some a little bit better, some a little bit worse. I would be hard-pressed to give a Big Mac meal a 6 except when you get lucky and the fries are hot out of the oil and have that perfect golden crust. Do what you want. It's your belly and your wallet.
