All the Good Stuff: How I Practice

Highly Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced Players
I'm about 10 pages into this book as part of my serious practice routine, and it's outstanding. I especially love how the TAB portions are in a completely separate section, rather than directly underneath the standard notation. It gives the option to cheat, if you feel the need to check fingerings, but not get distracted by a crutch that can hinder real progress. After 30 minutes of exploring the exercises for future daily practice sessions, I'm already inspired and can foresee the positive impact it will have on my bass playing. Overall, a great resource to incorporate into any study of the instrument and your sound within it.

Binding issue, and cheaper to buy the PDF format.
This is absolutely some of the best instructional books I've ever come across for bass guitar. Very thought provoking and creative ways of breaking up mundane boring practice scales into musical lines, I've purchased many books that just don't even come close to the meaningfulness of these books. The only caveat I can see is the binding. I prefer music study books with spiral binding, plastic comb etc. Thus, my only suggestion would be to just buy Janeks books on his website. And print out what you're going to use the most, and use plastic sleeves in a 3 ring binder.

If you want to get the most from this method book, you must put the time in. Get in the SHED!
Well written, good practice book for shaping, and resolution of chord tone passages. A must practice for the serious bassist.

Great book
Lots of great exercises that have greatly improved my technique and hunger for growth on my instrument. Not a beginner book per say, but, I have shown some of these exercises to my students with great success.

Great bass exercises
Great book. The only thing I would change about it is that I would have the bass clef and tab together. Not in separate sections.

Poco materiale

A challenge
Clearly laid out, increasingly challenging practice programme. Recommended.

Where is the good stuff?
