For High Power Flashlights ONLY - NOT for e-cig mods.

The reputation is well deserved.
I had been sticking with my old Surefire flashlights (late 90s vintage) powered by CR123A lithium batteries. Since I bought my batteries in bulk, I had never really considered moving on to modern LED flashlights powered by 18650s. Last summer, I used up the last of my 123s. While researching how to convert my Surefires to rechargeable batteries, I realized it would be more cost effective to just buy new flashlights (not to mention the leaps & bounds in LED brightness over the last decade). So I bought a couple new flashlights about 5 months ago and decided to get these Orbtronics based on Amazon reviews (and a few forum recommendations). Wow, am I glad I decided to spend the extra coin on these batteries.I use my Nitecore flashlight 3-5 nights a week, and usually for 30+ minutes at a time. Since I'm very type-A, I like to top off rechargeables often. When I got these Orbtronic 18650s, I was dropping them into my Nitecore D4 weekly. For the first few weeks, I noticed that my charger would regularly read 4.15 volts or higher and go immediately into a trickle charge. So I stopped the weekly charging routine and, gasp, decided to just charge it whenever. I popped one of them onto my charger tonight after more than a month in my flashlight. My D4 showed 4.05 volts as it started with a low current charge. I gotta say, the capacity of these batteries are absolutely amazing. It would be a stretch to say that I've considered buying more flashlights just so I can pick up a couple more of these batteries. But it wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

You Get What You Pay For
These really are top quality batteries. There are a lot of over-rated Chinese junk batteries out there and some people have written off the 18650 batteries as a result of getting burned on their false claims and poor quality. I have purchased many from Orbtronics and never been disappointed. I guess you get what you pay for. They have great capacity, solid manufacturing and live up to their claimed specs. Don't be tempted to cheap out on 18650's. Buy the right ones with the right Smart Charger the first time and save yourself the frustration and failure of the bargain basement knockoffs.

Great 18650's!
Great Orbtronic batteries. I think these are probably the best 18650 batteries that are available (but you can get them cheaper direct from Orbtronic)!

Excellent, the best rechargers for high output tactical flashlights
Excellent quality build. Authentic Panasonic cells from Japan. High quality outer protection on cell. Purchased three 2 packs and condition cycled. Full charge, discharge, recharge two cycles for each cell. Final conditioning values for each well were what you will get ONLY with AUTHENTIC PANASONIC JAPAN CELLS (or Panasonic Plant in USA). All charged at expected 4.2volts and after sitting 48 hours on counter were still at 4.19volts. Makes these have excellent shelf life in proper storage. Will top off every 6 months on extras. All cells final capabilities were am inpressive 3650-3750mAh. Excellent cells and will last a long time. In regards to the high mAh, these are definitely ONLY FOR HIGH OUTPUT DEVICES SUCH AS MY 700-1,100 LUMEN TACTICAL FLASHLIGHTS. They require high voltage, which these cells will provide. The higher mAh capabilities will most likely provide 1 hour continuous, compared to non-rechargeable of 1 1/2hr. Had 1 cell that did not make the rated 3500mAh. Orbtronics replaced and that cell was identical to the others. Thanks Orbtronics for excellent customer service and such well made cells. I purchased another set of Panasonic 18650 here on Amazon, 2 for $20. The cells tested similar to these. However, the outer casings are thin clear plastic. Cosmetically, they look cheaply made and I was not able to find any mfg markings in the cell. Recommend that you pay the slight higher cost and purchase only these excellent made 18650's

Excellent Quality Cells
Great quality including the wrapping, although gold plating on the negative pole wears off in some of my flashlights. They tend to run a little thick for 18650s but seem to fit perfectly in the Jetbeam WL-S2, and with a little room in a O-Light M22 (no rattle). Better quality than some nitecore cells I bought, the wrapping on those wore through quickly. Seems to hold up well through quite a few charge cycles, I own 2. I think the lights I use are both regulated output and it seems to take 30-40 minutes before there is any noticeable difference in brightness on the max settings. They do take a while to recharge fully; I suppose it is because of the capacity. They have taken some abuse being inside lights and none failed so far. I also have some of the older 3400mAh cells from orbtronic and have the same experience. Its hard to tell if the extra 100mAh makes a difference. Last time I checked they were Panasonic cells with Seiko protection circuits; quality suppliers IMO.

ORBTRONIC - Highest quality and likely burned down the fewest houses! Great Quality. A bit more $$ but worth it!
ORBTRONIC The best 18650 cells I have come across. I give my cheap ones away that sometimes come with torches, and tell them to charge it in a flowerpot. I have 20 of the ORBTRONIC 18650's and they are all still rock solid as day one. Don't buy the cheap ones until you find some videos on what 18650's can do when they let go. Then come back and buy the best. Unless you were planning on moving anyway. I will still never let 18650's charge overnight from any brand, but if I did they would have to be ORBTRONIC.

Great Cell
I have purchase the 3400 and 3500 mah versions of these cells. I have not had issues with either. I love these cells. They are priced well and seem to last. I do not have any technical specs as far as capacity like others may state. However, they seem to hold there charge well in equipment (primarily flashlights for me) and when on standby in a battery holder. Orbtronic cells are the 18650 cells I would purchase on Amazon.
