Nice alternative battery at low cost. Good product.
It's not HP battery but fits into my HP DV 6 laptop. Please check serial of your current battery and this battery to avoid getting wrong product which might not suite your laptop.The only thing you need to follow is to charge this for 4 hours after unboxing and fitting into your laptop.And then use your laptop till it gets drained completely. This instruction is written on the battery package.You need to do this only once.

Three of four cells work, one cell voltage is zero
The first time I bought it, the charge life was less than three hours which reduced to less than two hours very soon. HP test showed that only three cells were operational.On complaint, it was replaced with a new one. Unfortunately, the second one also gave similar trouble.Both the times, I had followed the instructions carefully to completely discharge and recharge.

2 hrs battery backup with 3 hrs charge! HP COMPAQ CQ 42 450 TU compatible
After a lot of r&d finally happy and satisfied that I went for this purchase. Have been using this for a week now. As instructed by a few, discharged the battery completely first and then charged it fully. Takes around 3 hours to fully charge and gives a backup of 2 hrs plus approx. Compatible with HP COMPAQ CQ 42 450TU model. Thanks the precise info provided by the seller on amazon, buying decision got simpler.

Replacement or fix for battery
Battery doesn't last. I had purchased in August 2020 and after working for 8 months it's doesn't even give a back-up of half hour. I still have it under warranty. Do let me know what should I do?

Lapcare 4000 mAh 10.8 volts battery is Working satisfactorily till today.
I calibrated the battery before I put it to use regularly in my laptop. Till now, from the date of its receipt of delivery on 29-08-01, ( for 9 days period) it is working satisfactorily. I don't know the durability and life of the battery , so i can't assess these parameters on 1 star to 5 star scale.
