Much Better Than Expensive Brands!
Really impressed with this rock iron tawa. It feels extremely solid, heavy, and premium in hand. The finish and overall build quality are excellent. One thing I liked is that it heats up quite quickly despite being heavy โ unlike what many people usually say about iron tawas. Also, seasoning was not stressful at all. With a little care and regular use, dosas come out crispy and release well. Compared to many popular brands, this tawa is noticeably heavier and sturdier, yet I got it for almost half the price. Even the packaging was done very neatly and with extra care, which was honestly better than some expensive brands I had ordered earlier. Overall, a great value-for-money product with excellent quality. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Fantastic product. But of course know and respect you are getting cast iron tawa
Its an amazing product. Before you choose a cast iron tawa, there are many options available so make sure the tawa surface is not polished/machined. If it is machined it will not work properly for many many times. I experienced this long back with my old no-brand tawa. So I chose this tawa since its surface is coarse almost like sand blasted, which is ideal for dosa. 2nd choose the handle mould is thick. Dont buy tawas with thin handle mould. It can easily break. So again another reason why I chose this vs others. See case iron is brittle almost like ceramic. So handle and maintain with care. Of course it is iron, iron will rust immediately. It should be immediate if you live in coastal regions such as Chennai/Mumbai etc. So make sure you oil it front, back, handles and keep a tiny coat of oil always. Of course you have to first season before use. (refer many youtube videos). But even after seasoning first 3-5 dosas, keep putting and disposing. Since they do not come initially well. But eventually you should see it works amazing. It is what you are paying for. It is a quality of cast iron. Respect its a direct quality of "Shani" (astrology) as Iron is his element. So lot of delays eventually you get its fruits. Maintenance: Once you are done with initial use. Just wash the warm tawa with running tap water and once cold put it inside a plastic/paper bag and store it safe. DO NOT SOAP WASH frequently, else you have to start once again seasoning, disposing few dosas. So if you are buying any brand cast iron, you just first think and commit yourself. Its not like non-stick tawa, where it works fantastic for first 1 year, later it never works. Its a Rahu's energy(astrology). Its fake, pretends to be working eventually its just for short-term. Once when you buy always check for any defects and cracks. If you find any issues return/replace. Hope this helps your buying decision :)

Super happy with this healthy tawa for daily use.
It looks exactly like they have shown and works wonders! Before buying this tawa, I read a lot of reviews and did a good research of cast iron tawas from different brands. This not only stands out in terms of price , but also it's amazing quality! I didn't gave problem with this even once after starting using it for regular cooking like making dosa and rotis. It's little heavy , but that's not a problem. Also , I observed it adds flovour to our food. Just pre seasoned it once to start using it. How to do this? I just washed the tawa with normal soap and wiped and dried it with a clean cloth. Then applied oil on the tawa and kept it on the flame , allowed it to become hot and switched off the flame. Once it cooled , just washed it with water, dried it and applied oil to avoid it from rusting. How I use this for making dosas ? I heat the tawa keeping it on the flame, add oil on tawa and spread it . When it becomes hot , I spribkle some drinking water on the tawa, it makes sssssss sound , then clean this with a clean cotton cloth/ towel. The dosa does not stick at all. I am very happy to use this product for daily cooking..thank you so much

Too heavy for regular use.
We used to have nonstick dosa pan since 2013, Switched to a safer option It is really big and very heavy, like my mom and dadi avoid using it for that reason. It heats up very quickly so I keep things on low flame Also dosa vendors do use the same material but over huge burners so the tawa heats up evenly but on stove burner, my dosa burns from the centre and remains uncooked on the edges,I would try brass tawa next time.
