Wassily Kandinsky: 1866-1944: a Revolution in Painting

The book was delievered very fast, love amazon prime as always they did a good job. Yet I was not impressed with the book's quality. I used to have another book which was a square format and the quality of images was absolutely stunning both as pictures and prints. This book feels muddier in colors and as if it is a vintage book when printing was of different quality. It also had slightly damaged corners of the hardcover of the book which would not be good for a gift yet because it is affordable and I ordered it for myself and work, I will give it a read later and see how it goes. So if only want to have 1 book of Kandinsky which you want to have, probably best is to look somewhere else.To be fair though, these days we are so used to overcontrasty oversaturated juicy pictures and I haven't seen Kandinky's originals in museums and galleries to be able to judge fairly what book has correct color representations. So I'd leave it to your judgement. Maybe the text content is good yet on amazon here some people were not impressed with it. I ordered mainly for images.

Los libros de Taschen son muy interesantes desde arquitectura pasando por pintura, diseño, fotografía, erotismo, moda, deportes... Tiene una serie de libros que son baratos y merecen mucho la pena. Este es en particular sobre Kandisky. La selección de pinturas es muy buena. Los recomiendo.

Un libro muy bien ilustrado y completo con un inglés asequible. Buen libro sobre la pintura de Kandinsky. Breve y completo.Buena relación calidad-precio.
