They are a stiff canvas but I would’nt try washing them. I’d use a soft brush and some water. I thinking washing them would ruin the insole and that is what makes these shoes so wonderful

Q: Are these shoes good for a lot of walking?

I buy Taos because it is a great shoe fr someone with high arches. I own 6 pairs of these shoes. Different varieties..I walked all over Hawaii in these but fitting a shoe to a particular foot issue can be like a puzzle. I love mine
