Beware of "warranty" comes with a catch
"Lifetime" warranty on the chair...what they don't say is that you will have to disassemble said broken chair, somehow fit it back into the/a box and ship it back to them--regardless if chair is unusable. This was a purchase for my 82 year old father, how he is supposed to mangage this, I'm not sure. Very disappointing.

Broke after 2 years and Minimal use.
Buyer beware! Expect Tops 2 years before the chair breaks. This was a great chair for about a year. At the 2 year mark, the slats on the chair became "brittle" and broke in the seating area. It did not just happen with one, but both of the chairs. The chairs do stay outside, however were not frequently used. I expected more. Fortunately no one was injured as the brittle areas were sharp and jagged. I contacted customer service at the three year mark before throwing them away. Customer service was very nice, but stated they would not replace the chairs b/c they were out of warranty. They did offer to replace the slats were broken for $50 in shipping. I politely declined as replacing only a couple components would more than likely result in the same issue on the other original components.

Not stain proof!
Very sturdy and weather, but they stain and can't be scrubbed clean. Perspiration (e.g., from someone wearing shorts) leaves a dark stain. Sunscreen leaves a white stain! See photo.

Loved these chairs for 6 months than one broke!
Loved these chairs for 6 months than one broke! The Lifetime name is misleading. We were thinking about buying two more chairs, but will look for something that will last longer. My husband and I are not overweight or misuse them, it should have lasted longer for the price.

OK for price.
Bought these as an alternative to the $300 poly wood type. Out of the box the material feels a little cheap and I get the sense the other reviews claiming it gets brittle with time are probably spot on. I decided to paint mine to help protect them from the Florida sun, time will tell. I think if I had to do it over I would spend the extra coin in the real polywood.

very sturdy. Assembly is a bit of a challenge and ...
This is a solid chair, very sturdy. Assembly is a bit of a challenge and if you use the small Allen-head wrench provided with the screw package it will be difficult. Assembly is best accomplished with better tools. I bought 5 of these chairs and it took me roughly 50 minutes to assemble each of them. The packaging is very good and units are HEAVY! I purchased them as outdoor chairs and decided on the polystyrene composite because of it no-maintenance. I wish the wooden chairs were less maintenance-free but wood also tends to cause splinters, need to be stained at some time as it ages and harder to clean (ie: bird poop). With the exception of 4-screws (set them aside so that you don't accidently use them, those 4 screws will be used for the very last step), all the screws are the same. Use a box cutter to trim away the 4 edges of the screw package as opening the screw package as is will likely result in screws flying everywhere. THERE ARE NO SPARE SCREWS so be aware that you'll need them all for complete assembly. The good news is that the screws are very durable. The holes are pre-drilled in the planks. Once the screws are tightened, the head of the screws should not protrude from the board. The instructions are basic. I built the chairs in my brightly lighted garage. the light helps when matching up the pre-drilled holes. Here are the tools I found very helpful. A flashlight (to help in low light to find & match the holes), a T-handled 4mm Allen-head wrench,{optional: electric-clutch adjusted drill. A drill adapter that will fit a socket 4mm Allen-head}, A box cutter, and a good music channel. That little Allen wrench provided in the kit will add 2-3x the effort and time and you be using "colorful-metaphors" before finishing your FIRST chair! Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a 4mm T-handled Allen wrench, they're cheap and you don't need the drill setup I mentioned earlier.Much of the chair already comes preassembled but I gave the screws that were already in place a snugged-up twist a little more. With the exception of the 2-planks that are assembled in Step 1, do not tighten the screws and leave all the screws loose. The difficult step that was consistent with all5 chairs that I assembled was the right armrest support plank as it does not line up with the pre-drilled screw holes. I had to use a large C-clamp to align the holes in place. If you don't have a clamp a second person WILL be needed. The 4 different screws that I mentioned earlier are used to secure the armrest boards to the rear of the chair frame. Tighten the 4 screws with the same pressure you used on the other screws. Once you tighten those 4 screws, finish tightening all the other screws and you're done.I hope this helps. The chairs are wonderful and comfortable. They'll last a long maintenance-free time!

Not "easy assembly" - and Amazon not helpful
Not "easy assembly"! The pre-drilled holes do not align well. Needs elbow grease, so unless you are very healthy (no back problems, no arthritis, etc.), you will have difficulties. Also, once you have started assembling but you want to return it, now you have to dissemble it! Please read the other 1-star reviews and decide for yourself.

Hard to Assemble
I had so much trouble assembling this chair that I returned it. Many of the bolt holes will just not line up, no matter what you do. I have assembled dozens of DIY items over the years, so I consider myself to be very experienced in this area. I refuse to redrill new holes all over to get an item together. Also, it is made of lightweight plastic and I was not comfortable paying $150 for something that may not stand up to use over many years. I bought this chair on the recommendation of a neighbor. It is a nice looking chair once you get it together.

Needs bigger pre drilled holes
The video to assemble makes it look easy. It’s not as the holes are not pre drilled. Ended up screwing in the screws to make the holes bigger then assembling it, managed to fit all the screws except the last 2. I have had one previously and wasn’t this hard to assemble. Also if two people are recommended, say so in the add not when the box is opened

Buy something else. Cheap product.
Sadly after waiting a month both chairs I ordered were defective and damaged and I had to return them. Both had scuffed and dented arm rests (no packaging to protect them from rubbing.) The cuts were irregular on the arm rest and on one of the chairs they didn’t match. Both preassemble seats had slates that were cracked all the way through and chipped. Holes didn’t line up on some parts and screws strip incredible easily with parts then popping out. Finally the instructions omit an important tip on tightening the seat at the end.I bought them because they said they were in stock and they seemed to have high reviews on the internet. The reviews here are all poor and it took a month. I should have saved myself the time and money.I am very disappointed.Spare your self the pain and costs.Pictures are from both chairs and a sample of the issues and poor quality.
