Make: Electronics Paperback – 1 January 2015

Though I am an accountant by profession, I was always fascinated with electronics and used to wonder how to use a multimeter. Even fundamental concepts about each component weren’t known to me. But this book is amazing. 5 stars are for the content and the author. The india edition is with black and white pictures so references to colour codes gets tough to figure out. But that’s 3 stars to someone else in the system. The author has done justice to his bit. I can’t wait to try out all experiments and move to the sequel. A note for readers...reiterating what the author suggests, go as per the sequence of experiments and don’t skip any text. With actual components at hand, the journey will be exciting.

It is an extremly good book for anyone who is just starting in electronics. It's great to start with hobby texts such as this book, instead of studying complex text books saying it from engineering student perspective...the only problem with this edition is that, the book lack colored pictures which is very much required at some places and it becomes hard task to figure out the right information..

The original US edition has colour pictures and diagrams which should make for easier reading and understanding. There are references in the text to refer to areas marked in "red" in the pictures. But this is the Indian edition and is printed in B/W, so was a bit disappointing. The content is identical, though.

Good for beginners

I just love this book. After reading through the entire book I got lots of experience and knowledge on various electronics components and building new designs. Thanks to the seller for listing such a good book for a dumb head like me :D
