Tamarind Tree 10 Seeds/Seed -Bonsai- Tamarindus Indica

They came as seeds just as description indicated. I still haven't gotten them to sprout yet. I'm still trying.

Received package sooner than expected. Seeds are definitely tamarind (saying this only because some other reviews said they were not) and look healthy and viable. Packet was very cute, with a smiley sticker and one of Winnie the Pooh planting seeds, and contained a dinosaur sticker in addition to the seeds. Strangely enough, I also received a "Free Gift" of ten packets of mayochup. Not sure if they were there to help cushion the seeds or the seller was just trying to unload an excess of this bizarre condiment. Gave all of us here in quarantine a good laugh and a smile. So excited to plant these and see how they grow!

Of the ten I planted, 5 sprouted. They are doing very well.

I received the wrong seeds. I don’t know what these seeds are but they are not Tamarind. I got one to germinate and the leaves are nothing like that of the Tamarind tree.

These seeds seem viable so far although I just planted them so I don't know if they'll grow just yet. The technique with boiling does work since the seeds come with a hard outer shells and if you just soaked them in room temp water most of those shell won't come off and it will probably triple the time for them to germinate if you planted them like that. I will say that if you boil it for TOO long by accident you will sterilize the seeds and they'll be worthless so I suggest putting the seeds in a small container, boil water, pour the water in the container the seeds are in and let it sit until it becomes room temperature. Repeat this process multiple times but take out the seeds that already look like they're shooting out sludge and peel away that sludge and shell until you see a white seed, then let it soak in room temperature water for 24 hours before you plant.

I ordered 3 other orders of tamarind seeds on amazon before trying this one. None of the previous seeds sprouted. I ordered these as a last result late in spring. 7 out of the 10 seeds sprouted and they are growing fast and healthy. I am very pleased with these seeds.

Without instructions I looked up how to properly germinate these seeds. My findings showed two different methods. The seeds are super hard so I tried some for each method. Some I put in boiled water, which I was highly doubtful of, and others just to soak. Aprox 3 weeks later I have 4 sprouts.

they were labeled properly found instructions on internet to sprout then two sprouted now i wait for them to grow old. they also came quickly.
