Tried many led bulbs on a dimmer. All do not dim well and were still too bright and had poor color retention. Only dimmed to 20% These bulbs dim extremely well retain color at 10%. Recommend highly

I recently received my bill from our utility company almost fell over. So, I was on a mission to decrease my usage. Our kitchen has a LOT of ceiling pots with 65W bulbs. I thought I would start there. I replaced 13 bulbs and am hoping that this will make some difference in my bill (have other changes going on as well). I didn't realize how much you need to know about light bulbs before purchasing a replacement. For LED bulbs, you need to take into consideration several factors; Kelvins (color; i.e., warm, cool, or daylight), Lumens (brightness equivalent), base size (typical incandescent bulb has an E26 base), and Watts (incandescent replacement watt converted to LED equivalent). A huge advantage to LED bulbs is that their lifespan is 10x an incandescent even though the cost is higher. Most LEDs are dimmable, BUT if you have a dimmer switch from your old incandescent bulbs, you will need to switch it out with an LED compatible switch unless it has on/off capability. Otherwise, the bulb will just dim to very low but will not shut off.These bulbs fit the need perfectly. I got the 65 watt equivalent (650 Lumens), with the E26 size base which fit into my existing pots, a warm color with Kelvins of 2700. I am very happy with the replacement. Our electrician was surprised that they were LED because the look is identical and the light isn't glaring. I am looking forward to the next utility bill to see the success ! Be sure to educate yourself on the bulbs you need before you buy.

I bought these daylight brightness bulbs as a replacement for my kitchen flood lights and they give a very bright light. I love the new look and taking pics in the kitchen now has good lighting!

The colour matches my other lights in my house.
