I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m very grateful to all Amazon customers who do because I base my buying decisions biased heavily in favor of products most highly recommended. This is one of those occasions when I feel compelled to write.I experienced a problem overseas when my buckle fell apart because a screw fell out. I asked Amazon for two more screws and they forwarded my email to the company, Ryser's Inc. I got an IMMEDIATE reply from their Customer Service Manager, Claire R., saying she would send me a complete replacement buckle which would not have the loose screw problem.She apologized for my inconvenience, thanked me for being a loyal customer and was grateful for my placing my trust in them. Now THAT is Customer Service above and beyond! Honestly, you can't wish for better customer service than that. When it comes to a company standing behind their product, this company has no peers.I’ve since ordered another belt from this company through Amazon and attach photos. (Viniciobelt – Classic Men’s Holeless Leather Ratchet Click Belt with Automatic Sliding Buckle – Trim to Fit. I chose the brushed silver buckle. $18.85 includes S&H). If you’re looking to buy a genuine leather, handcrafted, ratcheting belt that looks terrific and won’t break the bank, you simply can’t go wrong with this company. Even if you were still concerned, you can be doubly assured it’s always fully backed and guaranteed by Amazon! (Oops! Sorry, sounding like a commercial!!)Others at work have asked about my belt and now they too have similar belts from this same website! I’ll certainly look nowhere else for my next belt and cannot recommend this company more highly.

I bought two of these belts to replace a double-sided conventional belt that I could no longer wear. Having gone from a 38" waist to a 32" waist in the course of the last year I ordered the belt labeled "up to 35" waist" thinking it was just the right amount of belt needed. I was wrong. The belt was probably 35" in total length, but several extra inches are needed to attach the buckle and provide for a good amount of overlap for the ratcheting mechanism to work. Add about 6" to your waist size and you have the length you need. You can always cut off the slack. Nobody will see it.With all of that said, THIS IS THE BEST BELT I HAVE EVER OWNED. The ratcheting system works perfectly, and is incredible for quick adjustments. You don't have to worry about stretching out belt holes, and the quality and look of the belts is amazing. I can anticipate these belts will last me a long time. The customer service is also wonderful. I sent them an e-mail about my "wrong size" issue, and they sent out a replacement belt without asking me to return the first one. WOW. Who does that?VinicioBelt and Ryser have earned a repeat customer, when the time calls for it - though I anticipate this is all the belt I'll need for the foreseeable future.

This is my second one. I have purchased other one's in the past and "ALL" of the belts ripped from the mechanism after about a months worth of usage. Mainly because of the belts cheap construction (and yes this happened from the originator of this design also) They say that the belt is leather and that is a half truth since the leather is only a thin coating rapped around plastic or cardboard.The thing that I like about this belt is that the width is greater than anything else I have used and the added surface really helps on the stress that is placed on the belt.

If you have not purchased a ratchet belt here are a few reasons why you should:- If you're like me and you stay the same amount of fat for extended periods of time, you wear out your traditional leather belt from always using the same belt hole. It makes the leather crack in an unsightly manner. Problem solved with a ratchet belt. The ratchet mechanism is hidden beneath the buckle, so the leather is never marked up. So appearance wise, these things last forever.- Personal vanity: when you do inevitable get fatter (Christmas cookies anyone?), you just don't ratchet as far. No, having to visually see your growing belly measurements because there is no new hole to go to. Yes, you could conceivably get so fat that the belt can't even reach the ratchet mechanism, but then you've got some other issues besides having to buy a new belt.Quality: Very happy with the quality of the belt, looks very nicePrice: If you go buy something of comparable quality at a brick and mortar store, look to spend close to $50. Obviously, this is a good deal on here.Would I buy again? Absolutely! I actually need to because I also need a darker brown belt.Bonus: makes a cool clicking sound when you put it on.

First non-traditional belt I've owned. I love it. super easy to cut to length. I followed advice in other reviews and ordered one size larger than I needed. Has a generous 'click strip' on the back, so it can grow with you. ;) One piece of advice: you can always shorten it again, so if you don't have reference for length, leave it a bit longer than you think you want and cut it down as needed. I used regular workshop scissors to cut mine (multiple times).Really easy to take apart but well designed and appears sturdy. Unlike some other reviewers, I really like the release lever. Works great for me. I've already ordered a second one, in a different color.

My husband saw a commercial for this style of belt but the reviews for the one on tv were not good. I found this on Amazon and ordered several colors. So far he is thrilled...to the point that he actually comments daily how much he loves the belts. They did not have a strong unpleasant odor as some other reviewers mentioned. We have only owned the product for a few weeks so I'm curious to see how it holds up and will post an update review in a few months.
